- Develop, and implement an annual business plan for region.
- Review, interpret, and react to performance metrics/ data received from various financial and payroll reporting systems.
- Monitor team members toward achieving team performance objectives and goals including recognizing high performers and rewarding accomplishments.
- Uphold an internal culture of teamwork while building employee skills that continue to develop the capabilities to deliver best in class customer experience.

The Role of Regional Sales Director - West
Regional Sales Director will provide ongoing coaching and leadership to the Business Development Managers (BDM) who are responsible for prospecting new accounts. The Regional Sales Director will also contribute to the direction of sales practice, processes and measures.
As the Regional Sales Director you will manage and support the day to day activities of BDMs to help drive key sales metrics of sales, units and overall Peninsula Business objectives.
Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and execute effective sales strategies for the Sales team
- Ensure BDMs maintain consistent performance against their assigned Performance Metrics
- Conduct weekly and monthly Business review meetings and provide key measures and performance metrics for the senior leadership team
- Lead team meetings, conducts 1 on 1 meetings and individual learning and development
- Understanding of key activity and to be able to resource and adjust team availability to meet meeting and client requirements
- Join meetings (onsite/virtual) to help coach and develop BDM, assist in the sales cycle to ensure we improve our conversion ratios
- Minimum of 50 ride alongs per quarter with BDMs
Leadership
- Recruit, coach and develop staff. Monitor and measure sales activity, establish performance objectives and provide feedback, recognize and reward performance and motivate the team.
Pipeline/Activity Management
- Ensures that BDMs follow up on daily opportunities and continue to drive new business, client referral leads and cold calling metrics to achieve the daily/weekly/monthly targets
- Working with Digital Marketing tracking performance conversion ratio, lead type priority and overall sales performance
- Working with Events Team on local and national events to help drive sales from events or Partners
- Ensuring contract or any discount (working closely with finance), paperwork or non- standard requests are properly reviewed and vetted
What you Bring to the Team
- Enjoys working in a fast paced, highly rewarding team environment
- 10+ years sales experience in prospecting, developing and closing leads for new business
- 10+ years in sales management experience leading a team
- Experience in HR, HR Technology, software sales or other consulting related fields

The Regional Director of Sales will lead a dynamic sales team, responsible for the daily sales efforts, total revenues, yield strategies and overall positioning of all properties under the Argus Hospitality umbrella.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Director of Hospitality, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Implement and supervise execution of Sales strategic plans to continue the repositioning of Argus Hospitality.
- Support and lead Revenue Management strategies for the hotels, specifically the achievement of targeted room revenues and optimal sales mix.
- Continue to build the positioning of the hotels through communications and building strong relationships with the community, industry, and business sectors.
- Collect market and competitive research to assess and implement strategy and long-term goals and strategic vision.
- Working with our marketing team, collaborate on strategies to attract guests, increase brand awareness, and drive overall revenue, including but not limited to advertising, promotions, public relations and digital marketing efforts.
- Lead, mentor and support the sales team members from all Argus hotels.
- Direct and manage all sales training, yearly sales targets, sales quotas, the incentive plan, and all other corporate and hotel learning required to maintain the most effective sales professionals in the market.
- Keep informed of the competition's sales strategies and report sales intelligence of benefit to our organization on a timely basis.
- Evaluate and initiate opportunities for developing new sources of business in all market segments and thereby broaden the account base that aligns with our elevated offering.
- Provide overall leadership, direction, training and development to the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Work closely with the Director of Revenue to generate demand and define the best business opportunities.
- Set parameters for rate strategies for all market segments.
- Oversee day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts, account development, site inspections and proper account management practices by the Sales Team.
- Active in developing new business and assuming a market segment for sales.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Schedule effective business trips and appointments within assigned markets.
- Participate in sites, and industry tradeshows.
- Participate in prescribed training and special projects.
- Creation of a variety of power point presentations for ownership, corporate, and the hotel.
- Prepares Sales Reports and annual Sales & Marketing Plan.
- Creates an effective Sales Programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel & activities, culinary services, and personnel.
- Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors.
- Ability to access, understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Assist the General Managers, in preparation of the sales plans, programs and annual budget; manage within approved plans and budgets.
- Develop rates, group sales deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management.
- Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with internal and external guests and staff in all situations.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the hotel property and continuously perform essential job functions.
- Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community.
- Prepare, implement, and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession.
- Previous experience in a hotel setting either as a Director of Sales or a minimum of 5 years of sales in the hotel industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and property management systems. Opera, CI/TY and Excel experience preferred. Various email marketing platforms, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong media, presentation and computer skills.
- Experience with hotel revenue management with ability to understand and interpret financial data.

OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to overseeing and execute a multi-property marketing strategy supporting four soon to open hotels in Richmond BC, Toronto ON, and San Diego CA. This is a rare opportunity to be part our team and to lead the building of the business pre/post opening and bringing a new hospitality destination to life.
The Role:
As the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a key role in launching 4 new hotel properties in Canada and the U.S.( scheduled to open in 2026) by developing and executing pre-opening sales strategies and marketing plans. This position will work closely with corporate teams, property leaders, and third-party vendors to build brand awareness, generate demand, and ensure a seamless entry into the market. The role will provide strategic leadership and hands-on support to property-level Sales & Marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
× Develop and implement comprehensive pre-opening sales and marketing strategies for the 4 new hotel openings across the region which adds to our existing portfolio of 4 hotels.
× Generate early awareness and bookings through local business development, event partnerships, and outreach to key accounts.
× Build and manage a pre-opening timeline for marketing deliverables, sales activities, pre-selling, digital presence, and collateral development. (brochures, brand collateral, radio, advertising).
× Lead market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing, positioning, promotional tactics.
× Manage local marketing activations including seasonal promotions, grand openings, and community partnerships.
× Collaborate with revenue management on opening rate strategy and forecasting.
× Work closely with property-level leadership to train on brand standards, sales messaging, and marketing tools.
× Prepare monthly reports on pre-opening progress, KPIs,& ROMI (Return on Marketing Investment).
× Support transition of responsibilities to on-site Sales & Marketing team post-opening.
× Partner with sales team to support demand generation, group business & event marketing.
× Work with Marketing managers to develop website content, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising.
× Ensure brand compliance across all materials while tailoring messaging to reflect each property’s voice and audience.
× Develop marketing strategies and promotions for onsite restaurants in conjunction with F&B team.
Requirements:
× Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, or related field an asset.
× 7+ years of progressive marketing experience at branded properties in the hospitality industry, multi-property or regional oversight an asset, plus 5 years of Sales experience (required)
× Strong understanding of hotel marketing, distribution channels, and revenue-driving tactics.
× Digital marketing platforms, content management systems, CRM tools, and OTA strategies.
× Creative thinker with data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Reporting to the VP of North American Sales, the Regional Director of Sales is responsible for direct sales activity within their assigned region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):
- Work with the VP of NA Sales to execute the regional sales strategy
- Effectively build, prioritize, and manage sales pipeline in a specific geographical territory
- Consistently identify new sales opportunities and actively close deals with new and potential clients
- Achieve monthly sales quotas, sales pipeline growth and meet sales activity performance metrics
- Prepare accurate sales quotes and negotiate contracts and pricing to win new business

Required Experience (including but not limited to the following):
- 5 + years of hospitality software/SaaS sales experience
- Key decision maker relationships within hospitality
- Property management software sales experience preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
