The Maintenance Services Representative must ensure that the entire building is in safe and good working order at all times. This includes a combination of preventative maintenance tasks, daily repair requisitions, and supporting outside contractors when on site.

2. Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Preventative maintenance is necessary for all aspects of keeping the building running smoothly. Some of the responsibilities involved with this position include but are not limited to:

  • Daily checks of the building and equipment
  • Greasing bearings, replacing filters and belts on equipment as per maintenance schedules

Daily repair requisitions are to be completed in a timely fashion to ensure proper building operation and customer satisfaction. Tasks can include, but are not limited to:

  • Basic plumbing repairs and replacements, including unclogging toilets
  • Fixing damaged sections of drywall
  • Maintaining interior finishes, including vinyl wall coverings and painting
  • General janitorial tasks such as garbage collection and spill cleanups
  • Keep detailed records of all work
  • Any other maintenance or janitorial duties as required or asked to perform

The maintenance person’s role can be strenuous and requires the individual to be in good physical condition. Physical demands include:

  • Climbing ladders
  • Moving appliances and furniture
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 60lbs
  • Cardio vascular endurance for tasks such as snow removal and climbing stairs
  • Working in confined spaces, including lying on their side or working on their knees for up to 30 minute.
  • Ability to grip and manipulate basic hand tools and parts
  • Hand dexterity and fine motor skills for working with small parts
  • Repetitive reaching or working above their head
  • Majority of the working day spent standing conducting repairs and maintenance

Health & Safety

  • Work in the manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedures required by the OHSA, regulations, and Campus Living Centres (e.g. wearing safety shoes, confining hair, jewelry, or loose clothing around moving parts, etc.).
  • Online training modules and in-person training must be completed before starting regular duties.
  • WHMIS 2015 and GHS system, and standard operating procedures training must be completed prior to beginning regular duties.

3. Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, Recognized College Diploma preferred

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of commercial electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Must be competent with general physical plant repairs
  • Must possess positive attitude towards work and learning
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects at once

The Maintenance Services Worker is responsible for performing general maintenance in the CTCC, assisting clients with requirements for tradeshows, and conventions, and upholding CTCC standards for quality and OH&S protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the CTCC buildings, which would include, but is not limited to, repairing damage to meeting rooms, public areas and offices including patching walls, re-staining woodwork, replacing and repairing wallpaper, painting, repairing and replacement of floor and ceiling tiles, maintenance of electrical floor boxes, operable wall panels & tracks, aerial work platforms, forklifts and snow removal equipment, repairing of doors, mouldings and windows, and removing graffiti from exteriors walls.
  • Repair furniture and equipment as required.
  • Set up and teardown risers and steps attached to the risers.
  • Perform and/or assist contractors with internal renovations.
  • Deliver client freight from the loading dock to the appropriate meeting rooms and pick up any freight remaining in the meeting rooms at the end of the function and deliver it back to the loading dock.
  • Transport internal freight as required.
  • Maintain shop and equipment to ensure good working conditions.
  • Operate the forklift to move freight within the facility.

Duties and responsibilities:

Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support

Ensuring the maintenance release contains a certification which documented the details of the work carried out including the identity of organisation and signatory supervise

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Responding to defects found during inspections and those recorded by flight crew in aircraft technical log.

Reading engineering drawings and ensure all repairs are in accordance with manufacturers instructions for the Type Certificate

Testing and operating airline communications equipment.

Assisting in tracking the spares inventory.

Preparing parts which have been received

Performing other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

The applicant must have;

Holds AQF Certificate IV in aeroskills or trade certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5 years experience in aircraft maintenance as a licencesed aircraft maintenance engineer

Appropriate academic/technical qualifications and experience to satisfy regulatory licensing, CASA/EASA

Ability to obtain a red ASIC

License requirements

The Fire and Life Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing all fire suppression and detection systems within facilities are operational and meet all Federal regulations, NFPA standards, ULC S536 Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems Canadian Standards Association, CSA-C282 Emergency Power Supply for Buildings, and Fire Marshal Directives FMD 4004, FMD 4006. As needed and as volume increases, the Fire and Life Safety Manager may also be responsible for overseeing a team of resources to further coordinate the planning, execution, and testing of the fire suppression and detection systems in facilities. Ensuring that all Preventive Maintenace and Corrective Maintenace on the fire suppression and detection systems is completed and tested as per the NFPA guidelines. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Fire and Life Safety Manager will act as the main point of contact in support of fire system assignments specifically serving Black & McDonald's core FM Support Service contract including, but not limited to the following duties:

  • Acts as an Assistant to the Deputy Fire Chief, under the provisions of the National Fire and Protection Act (NFPA).
  • Ensure enforcement of Federal fire prevention by-laws, the Federal Building Codes, the National Fire Code (where applicable) and other applicable codes and standards by assigning staff to carry out these duties.
  • Manage buildings by enforcing Federal fire prevention by-laws, the Federal Building Codes, the National Fire Code (where applicable) and other applicable codes, standards and statutes, and the examination of building plans for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Co-ordinate the inspections of premises that require a license from the Federal government to ensure fire safety.
  • Ensure that all education programs meet the needs of the legislative requirements of the NFPA and the circumstances of the community.
  • Responsible for the supervision of plan examination activities for building permit applications, inspections of premises, enforcing municipal fire prevention by-laws, the Federal Building Codes, the National Fire Code (where applicable), and other applicable codes and standards, public education and fire investigation activities.
  • Conduct fire prevention inspection and enforce compliance with applicable fire regulations.
  • Responsible for providing timely response to enquiries from the Fire Chief (preparing reports or assigned projects when required on behalf of the Fire Chief) and internal and external clients.
  • Prepares monthly, Quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for the Deputy Fire Chief.
  • Monitor and manage usage of the designated budget.
  • Maintain a records system and file all required reports with appropriate agencies.
  • Develop and administer business and information systems related to fire prevention programs and activities.
  • Review policies and procedures relevant to fire prevention and life safety, recommending additions, changes or revisions where necessary.

La personne retenue relèvera du chef de service - Développement et maintenance des applications - Services de l’entreprise.

Responsabilités:

  • Responsable pour la Prise en charge de l’application PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 qui comprend les modules suivants : Ressources Humaines, Administration des avantage sociaux, Paie Nord-Américaine et Interface de Paie.
  • Responsable pour Recueillir, documenter et valider les exigences du client.
  • Identifier, analyser et recommander les meilleures solutions.
  • Agir en tant que point de contact principal pour assurer la liaison avec l'équipe de développement offshore.
  • Responsable pour la préparation des scénarios de tests et des cas de tests.
  • Effectuer les tests fonctionnels et d’acceptation des usagers.

Qualifications

  • Diplôme universitaire ou certification technique pertinente, ou expérience pertinente et proportionnelle au poste
  • Un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience liée à différents SIRH; expérience pratique de PeopleSoft, un atout.
  • Connaissance et expérience pratique de PeopleSoft Fluid, un atout.
  • Connaissance et expérience de requête SQL, un atout.
  • Expérience et connaissance des modules des ressources humaines et de la paie des SIRH que vous avez utilisés, un atout.
  • Habiletés exceptionnelles en matière d’analyse, d’organisation, de communication et de planification
  • Motivation, attitude axée sur les enquêtes et autonomie
  • Attitude axée sur les résultats et approche proactive et méthodique à l’égard de la résolution de problèmes
  • Habileté à exécuter plusieurs tâches simultanément, ainsi qu’à travailler sous pression dans des délais serrés et selon des priorités changeantes
  • Esprit d’équipe et habileté à travailler étroitement avec des groupes divers de personnes ayant différents styles de travail
  • Souplesse et disponibilité pour faire des heures supplémentaires, au besoin
  • Capacité à fournir une orientation claire et une communication efficace.
  • Habileté à établir et à entretenir des relations d’affaires efficaces.
  • Faire preuve de ponctualité et de fiabilité pour soutenir le succès global de l'équipe dans un milieu trépidant.
