**Position Overview**
The Simulation, Optimization and Systems (SOS) group within Autodesk Research is seeking an exceptionally talented and experienced Scientific Leader to join our team. We are focused on advancing the state-of-the-art design tools to allow architects, artists, designers, and engineers to " _Make Anything_ ". Our research centers around generative methods for design and spans physics-based modeling, simulation, optimization and systems modeling. You will lead and help build build a group focusing on the future of physics informed AI. Your group will work closely experts in geometric modeling, simulation, systems, robotics, high-performance computing, machine learning, sensing, computer vision, industrial manufacturing and construction.
The Physics Informed AI group will be specifically focused on researching and implementing novel algorithms for physics informed machine learning for use in design and engineering tools. We are interested in a scientific leader to help guide and direct research into physics-based generative models, surrogate models, data assimilation & digital twins, physics-based reasoning and the interpretation of physical results using AI.
**Responsibilities**
+ Identify, recruit and hire a team of scientists in Physics Informed AI with a focus on design
+ Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of research scientists and engineers to conceive, plan, develop, and implement scientific research projects
+ Direct & perform research on machine learning models combining physics simulation and measurement data
+ Manage a team, perform bi-annual evaluations, plan development, coach, mentor and connect your personnel to academic communities and throughout the company
+ Publish papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals/conferences
+ Supervise researchers, engineers and interns (undergrad, Masters, PhD or Post-docs)
+ Document and communicate the intent and the results of projects in clear terms to both technical and non-technical team audiences
+ Present research findings at conferences and participate in research collaborations with external research institutes and universities
+ Communicate and promote the use of research findings throughout Autodesk
+ Consult with product teams on the implementation of research findings into products
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ph.D. or MSc. 12+ years experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Applied Mathematics
+ Extensive experience with Physics Informed Machine learning models
+ Experience authoring physics-based solvers eg; fluids, thermal, structural, kinematic
+ Strong publication history in relevant conferences and journals
+ Proven track record as a practitioner of ML, creating, training and leading groups that can build and train models at scale
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Excellent knowledge of Numerical Methods
+ Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to new situations
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse, multicultural global team of scientists, engineers and architects
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of geometry and topology
+ Experience training large-scale, multi-modal models and ensembles
+ Familiar with collaborative development environments and version control systems
+ Experience with:
+ 2D and 3D computer graphics programming

**Salary transparency**
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $199,900 and $323,400. As an Applied AI Research Scientist at Autodesk Research, you will be doing applied research that will help our customers imagine, design, and make a better world.

**About the Role**
CBRE is looking for a Research Manager to join our Toronto Downtown branch to lead the research team supporting the Toronto Office, Retail, and Investment service lines. This is an in-person role and requires someone in Toronto that can be in the office regularly.
As a CBRE Research Manager, you will oversee a small to medium-sized team responsible for planning and implementing research for our organization as well as ensure that the best research methodologies, design, and practices are adhered to.
**What You'll Do**
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Guide the research team to be experts in data, reporting, and market insights.
+ Track and research market conditions to identify trends and recognize economic and real estate opportunities.
+ Provide commercial real estate insight through presentations to represent CBRE's perspective on market updates.
+ Report on the local and regional economy about employment statistics, major company activity, industry trends, and demographics.
+ Communicate relevant insights to stakeholders across the business such as sales professionals, management, media, real estate associations, and clients.
+ Interact with management on the regional and local level and represent research through the strategic planning process.
+ Support new business development initiatives.
+ Attend client calls and presentations with sales professionals. Act as a point of contact for the company's research platform.
+ Assist in setting up and enforcing due diligence procedures related to the quality and production of quarterly statistics and related reports.
+ Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
+ Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
+ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
**What You'll Need**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4-7 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
+ Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Analyst to join our Research team. This position will be in a hybrid work arrangement from either our Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa office.

What will you do?

Reporting to the Director of Research, you will support CFIB’s advocacy by developing original research on key policy issues impacting small businesses, such as taxation, regulation, and labour. You will design surveys, analyze data, and present findings in a clear, compelling way to influence public policy. You will also collaborate with stakeholders and maintain key relationships to keep CFIB’s research relevant and impactful.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify emerging issues that affect SMEs, including taxation, regulation, and labour policy, and contribute original, data-driven research ideas to support CFIB’s advocacy efforts.
  • Develop and execute research and public policy analysis on the above key issues.
  • Design and review surveys on topics related to CFIB’s research/legislative agenda.
  • Provide data, calculations, and other analysis in response to current policy/economic issues as needed.
  • Present research findings to various audiences as required.
  • Develop contacts within government, the business community at large and policy research organizations to keep current with public policy issues.

What makes a successful Research Analyst?

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English, with French considered an asset.
  • Experience in public policy or economics is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of statistical and database analysis.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and compelling content.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Comfort working under tight deadlines and integrating feedback.

**Qualifications :**

+ Connaissances et expérience pratiques préalables en matière d'études cliniques.

+ Adhere to an IRB-approved protocol.

+ Support the safety of research subjects.
+ Coordinate protocol-related research procedures, study visits, and follow-up care.
+ Comply with company and Sponsor policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines.
+ Schedule subject visits and procedures.
**Qualifications:**
+ Equivalent education and experience - High School Diploma and 1 years' relevant work experience in clinical research.
+ At least 1 year experience working in a clinical research setting preferred.
+ Working knowledge of clinical trials.
+ Working knowledge of the principles of Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
+ In-depth knowledge of protocol and study-specific operating procedures, consent forms, and study schedules.
+ Skill in carrying out required clinical procedures.
+ Working knowledge of medical terminology.
+ Ability to pay close attention to detail.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, patients, physicians, and clients.
+ Applicable certifications and licenses as required by company, country, state, and/or other regulatory bodies.
