Service Area: Residential jobs in Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury and nearby areas (specify city/town or any travel restrictions upon applying)
Position Summary: We are expanding our network of experienced residential cleaning subcontractors to provide regular, deep, and move-in/move-out cleanings in our service area. This is an independent contractor role: you provide your own labor, invoice us for work completed, and are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, equipment and business administration. Ideally, we are seeking a team of two or more, however, we are open to having one individual which would be assigned to smaller jobs.
This position is ideal for businesses looking to fill in gaps in their schedules, or experienced, professionals looking to start their own business without the hassle of advertising, quoting, scheduling and other administrative tasks and expenses. You simply provide us with your availability, and we will assign jobs to you within the app where you’ll see all the information related to each job, including a digital checklist to complete for each specified area of the home.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements (must have)
- Minimum 2 years of professional residential cleaning experience, including regular and deep cleaning.
- Ability to operate as an independent contractor and provide invoices for payment (HST registration if applicable)
- Proof of general liability insurance (recommended minimum $1–2 million) OR willingness to obtain prior to contracting
- Reliable and professional looking transportation and valid Ontario driver’s license to travel to and from client’s homes.
- Own professional cleaning equipment and supplies OR willingness to use company-provided supplies when requested (vacuum, mop, buckets, cleaning chemicals, microfiber cloths, PPE)
- Smartphone or reliable means of communication for scheduling and job updates. You’ll be required to use our CRM software to see job details, check-in/out of jobs, complete checklists etc.
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, stand and move for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide at least two references from clients or supervisors

The John Howard Society of Thunder Bay is seeking individuals looking to gain experience and/or supplement to their current employment, to join the Client Support Team as casual.
JHS provides 24/7 oversight and support offering transitional housing services to clients who are at risk, or currently involved in the Criminal Justice System.
As part of the Client Support Team, staff are trained to follow protocols and procedures of each residency program providing services to residents.
Casual staff are not guaranteed regularly (weekly) scheduled hours; shifts will be offered to provide coverage as needed.
This shift schedule operates 7 days per week and 4 hours daily from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
Casual staff will have opportunities for professional development through ongoing training (with compensation).
Organization meetings and Team meetings welcome casual staff to attend (with compensation).
Position Summary:
- This position will be responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitization of the JHS residence to meet required standards
- This position will be responsible for completing daily tasks which are listed for each shift

- This position may also be responsible for providing recreational activities for residents
