**Job Description**
The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. This position has oversight of a specific area and acts as a representative of the department ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. - Translate global strategic initiatives into procedures to be implemented on projects
- Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost-effective total project solution for the discipline engineering work
- Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects
- Develop estimates and schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts
- Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
- Other duties as assigned
**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen (14) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $111,000.00 - $215,000.00

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in mission-critical facility and data center design to join their dynamic team. This role involves leading the electrical design for high-reliability environments such as data centers, hospitals, and other 24/7 operations where downtime is not an option. From concept to commissioning, you will engineer robust and energy-efficient electrical systems, ensuring safety, performance, and compliance with industry standards. This role will be Hybrid, with WFH and 2 days onsite in either Dundas ON or Vaughan, with travel to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Design
- Develop electrical system designs including one-line diagrams, load calculations, and short-circuit/coordination studies using SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
- Specify and size electrical equipment such as MV/LV switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, busways, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
- Produce sealed construction drawings and specifications in AutoCAD and Revit in collaboration with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
- Prepare technical reports, design narratives, budgets, and bid documents.
- Interface with clients, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and utility companies to obtain permits and approvals.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs and design clarifications.
- Conduct factory witness testing, on-site inspections, and generate site test.
- Manage Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for Tier II–IV and Uptime-certified facilities.
- Deliver as-built documentation, conduct client training, and support post-occupancy troubleshooting
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD/Revit technologists.
- Stay current with evolving standards OESC & CEC. (preferred knowledge with NFPA 70/70E, 75/76, ASHRAE 90.4, LEED), integrating best practices into projects.
Additional Duties
- Design fire alarm, power distribution, standby systems, lighting, and grounding systems.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare field documentation.
- Support construction management, including inspections and project closeout.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to deliver integrated, safe, and efficient designs.
- Perform system analyses and modeling to optimize electrical performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada (Ontario preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical system design, preferably in consulting.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Uptime Institute or BICSI Certification.
- Experience in data center or mission-critical facility design.
- Knowledge of LEED and energy-efficient building practices.
- Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.

As a Job Captain, Interior Design, your role will involve coordinating project deliverables, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with design requirements. You will be instrumental in steering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring excellence in design, execution, and client satisfaction. Your role demands a combination of design and construction expertise, along with effective communication skills to collaborate with all stakeholders, ensuring successful project execution and optimal outcomes.
What You Will Do:
- Leverage BIM to create and refine detailed plans and construction documents, create spatial concepts, floor plans, and schematics, generate visual representations and 3D models for stakeholder communication. Support the design team by providing technical solutions that uphold the design intent while meeting all project requirements including Interior Design principles.

- Act as a key liaison between the project team, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication. Contribute to meetings, relay critical updates, address stakeholder concerns, and contribute to aligning project execution with established goals.
- Maintain a current knowledge of building codes, by-laws, and regulations to ensure design decisions align with the latest standards and requirements. Utilize your expertise and experience to offer guidance and support to team members, helping them navigate and incorporate these regulatory changes into their work effectively.
- Support the Project Manager in developing a detailed work plan for projects, clearly defining the project's scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with overarching project goals. Provide oversight to team ensuring that project deliverables are met according to the schedule.
- Conduct regular reviews of drawings and models to uphold the quality assurance process, ensuring full compliance with stakeholder requirements, building codes, regulations, design specifications, standards, and procedures.
- Identify, document, and communicate any potential risks across projects in line with TF's established risk management protocols. Implement the necessary adjustments or resolutions to mitigate these risks effectively, ensuring project integrity and success.
