Inc. is looking for experienced and insured independent contractors to perform residential plumbing installations across the Peterborough Region. This contract role involves removing old units (if required), installing new toilets, faucets, and other plumbing fixtures as needed, and ensuring full customer satisfaction with a clean and professional job site.
This is contract-only work — not an employee role. WSIB and liability insurance are mandatory.
Requirements:
- Valid WSIB coverage and liability insurance (mandatory)
- Proven experience installing residential plumbing fixtures

- Own vehicle (truck or van) and full installation toolset

Job Description
This position will be responsible for managing the full life-cycle of the project, from conception through installation to successful full implementation. Service management activities include leading cross-functional teams, developing project plans, evaluation of progress and representing the customer to all team members.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
Reporting to the Project Managers – the Service Manager will:
· Direct the execution of projects in accordance with customer standards and expectations for progress and quality assurance; measuring progress against plans; tracking budget and forecasts from a project perspective; and reporting to management.
· Ensure system rollouts and activities, including employee and customer communications are in place to support complete project.
· Plan, and direct all maintenance work.
· Oversee both Residential and Commercial HVAC and Plumbing service work.
· Support skilled trades team to improve performance.
· Identifying and minimizing potential risks to the project timeline and budget by performing effective risk mitigation, documentation and escalation.
· Constructively contribute to project teams' achievement of overall customer satisfaction and quality objectives.
· Preparing and delivering formal presentations and reports to both internal and external customers.
· Develop "after sale" maintenance proposals, present and implement to ensure customer satisfaction, and optimal equipment longevity.
· Staying abreast of technology developments and competitor implementations on an ongoing basis to ensure the value and functionality of the customers' requirements.
· Prepare and present required quotations, and service forecasts.
· Serve customer needs by addressing inquiries as required.
· Act as the liaison between internal teams and the customer.
· Ability to win new business by fostering and maintaining relationships with customers.
· Familiarity with applicable government regulatory and safety requirements.
· Maintain maintenance records of properties, and provide cost effective solutions to customers. Expected life expectancy, replacement, or repair analysis.
· Driven to apply lessons learned to continuously improve processes.
· Effectively communicating and resolving issues arising out of installation, commissioning and service of heating, air conditioning, water treatment, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
Qualifications:
· Post Secondary education in related trade. Trade Certificate preferred.
· Minimum 5 years' experience working onsite in industrial, commercial, residential, institutional environments in a maintenance or project management capacity.
· Experience with all aspects of troubleshooting of HVAC, and plumbing systems.
· Sound technical background with experience evaluating failures and providing cost effective, and innovative solutions.
· Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
· Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, quality and reliability.
· Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Knowledge of building codes.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and still produce high quality results.
· Ability to work independently and under stress, to meet deadlines and perform effectively in emergency situations.
