Verdant's smart thermostats and energy management solutions are hyper growth demand in the hotel hospitality and multi-dwelling unit industry. **About This Role:**
+ As an individual contributor, the Sales Manager brings a hunter mentality and will sell our proprietary technology via web presentations and phone, using standard sales methodologies.
+ This person will be the main point of contact for our customers and will work closely with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction, retention, through prospecting and farming activities, leading to new incremental sales.
+ The ideal candidate has a history of successfully bringing in new business, excels at account management, and enjoys meeting daily and monthly metrics.
**How Is Success Measured?**
+ Use our leads sources to approach prospective businesses to set up web presentations with qualified decision makers.
+ Meet with decision makers in dormant accounts to initiate farming activities.
+ Present proposals that will show the Verdant value proposition and lead customer to a sale.
+ Follow up with clients and prospects via email, phone, and onsite visits to lead them to the next step.
+ Manage your sales pipeline using a CRM and internal tools to ensure the shortest sales cycle.
+ Understand the client's business objectives and cycles to identify portfolio opportunities and drive growth.
+ Develop account plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
+ Participate in face to face selling at 2-4 trade shows per year.
+ Drive to compete as a sales leader while still maintaining a collaborative mentality
**Required Education, Experience & Skills:**
+ 3 years of inside B2B sales experience and account management experience selling over the phone or web
+ Strong record of success meeting sales goals within a sales team
+ Self-Starter that can creatively and consistently bring new business to the table without micromanagement
+ Quick learning skills that allow you to excel with new markets, products and technology
+ Business savvy and a sense of urgency to guide a prospect through a longer sales cycle
+ Comfortable with analytics and spreadsheets
+ Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills (this role primarily supports a U.S. based customers)
+ Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship
**? Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:**
+ Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
+ Trade show experience
+ Knowledge of any CRM (Salesforce)
+ Knowledge of construction industry
+ Bilingual (EN/FR)
**Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:**
This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
