Summary
The Business Intelligence (BI) Lead will be responsible for owning and driving the BI strategy across Convoy, ensuring data-driven decision-making supports operational excellence and business growth. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise in data visualization, reporting, and infrastructure. Partnering closely with General Managers, the Transformation team, and functional leaders across sales, operations, procurement, and finance, the BI Lead will design and deliver analytics solutions that improve sales performance, optimize supply chain efficiency, and reduce costs. The incumbent will oversee the development and governance of data pipelines, integration from ERP and Salesforce systems, and the creation of real-time Tableau dashboards, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance with Canadian and U.S. data regulations. Acting as both a strategic advisor and technical expert, the BI Lead will champion data literacy, train leaders on BI tools, and foster cross-company collaboration to align BI initiatives with business goals. This role requires a balance of technical proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to lead independently in a fast-paced, distribution-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Champion and take full ownership of Business Intelligence initiatives, providing strategic leadership and direction
- Develop analytics solutions tailored to distribution operations with key internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with General Managers and Transformation team to define KPIs and reporting frameworks for sales, logistics, and inventory.

Data Visualization & Reporting

Operational Collaboration

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer , a technical role within the Business Intelligence Enterprise Reporting team, for a highly motivated and experiences BI professional. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Learning Systems, the Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics is the "go-to expert" for efforts that will inform and lead data-driven metrics, analysis, visualizations, and storytelling. As a partner to business development operations and marketing teams, this role is responsible for aligning and transforming data into clear actionable visual insights to support business decisions necessary to lead short- and long-term objectives, strategies, tactics, and business outcomes.
Champion Data-Driven Decision-Making
- Promote the strategic use of data as a key business enabler, identifying and unlocking opportunities to optimize revenue growth, market entry, pricing, and profitability across the organization.
Inform Organizational and Divisional Strategic Direction with Data Insights
- Deliver digestible, high-impact insights to C-level executives and senior leaders across Business Development, Marketing, Academic Office and Operations.
- Provide analytics that support evaluation of new and existing products, revenue initiatives, customer segments and acquisition opportunities.
- Build and maintain pricing elasticity models and price optimization algorithms using advanced statistical techniques.
- Design promotion optimization models (e.g., uplift/response) to enhance targeted marketing and segment offers.
- Lead experimentation strategies (A/B testing, geo lift studies) to measure the causal impact of pricing and promotional initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools that provide actionable insights and performance visibility to drive sales growth, strategic and tactical decisions.
- Build self-service analytics capabilities for internal stakeholders to monitor performance and identify areas for growth to ensure analytics projects meet business needs
Advance Customer and Loyalty Insights
- Design, deliver, and analyze dashboards and surveys for internal business partners to assess health and impact of business, marketing and promotion efforts.
- Provide analytics to support the effectiveness and evolution of revenue and customer acquisition and recognition initiatives.
- Creating dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
- Conducting in-depth analyses of sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Providing actionable recommendations based on data insights.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Work with business development, marketing, product, and data engineering teams to integrate analytical models into business workflows and decision systems.
- Partner with business operations and marketing teams to improve data collection, analysis frameworks, and traffic generation strategies aligned with revenue growth.
Enable Scalable Data Solutions
- Build robust, scalable data solutions that improve access to analytics and support growth-focused decision-making.
- Improve existing processes and implement new systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data analysis.
- In collaboration with leadership, assess growth opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to position the organization for sustainable success.
- Identify and mitigate risks through quantitative analysis and forecasting.
Act as Analytics SME
- Advise internal teams on optimal methodologies, tools, and analytical approaches to address key business questions.
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations to ensure best practices are applied.
Perform Other Duties as Required
- Participate in management meetings and contribute strategic insights as needed.
- 6 - 8 years of progressive experience with business intelligence, data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling and reporting/analytic tools and forecasting.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Economics or Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Computer Science,
- Demonstrated experience with qualitative data science/business intelligence with significant business impact.
- Experience with BI reporting tools and forecasting.
- Knowledge of reporting tools/dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, Google Tag manager, Tibco, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge in with database and queries (i.e.: SQL, Python, R, etc.).
- Strong technical background in analytics, applied data science, and reporting across areas such as marketing attribution, experimentation, optimization techniques, data engineering & architecture, statistics, financial modeling and behavioral analytics.
- Extensive experience in measuring online and offline marketing and sales strategies using various methodologies such as incrementality, attribution and cross-channel interaction.
- Strong understanding on how the data should be captured, stored and structured in a data warehousing environment.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate and influence across various internal stakeholders.
- Detail oriented and takes ownership of work, with the ability to lead and manage tight project deadlines.
- A self-starter with a curious and learning mindset.
- $120,000 - $140,000 per annum.
- This role has two (2) direct reports: Data Engineer and Data Analyst.
- Hybrid work arrangement, working on-site at least 3 days a week, inclusive of all staff Community Days.
- Office environment with the occasional requirement to work outside of regular business hours.
- Works with confidential data.
- Extended periods of sitting and PC use.

The Business Intelligence Senior Analyst is responsible for guiding the Digital product teams through the analysis of complex mobile app and web performance data. This role requires the creation of customer centric solutions/approaches driven by data analysis, business insight, creativity, and effective communication. This position requires a solid understanding of the ability to create reports, dashboards, critical metrics and data visualization using Power BI and Tableau through advanced SQL. This position will also participate in the development and QA of data collection, as well as administration of standardized reports to be used across business partners.
Responsibilities:

- 4-7 years Experience in reporting & analyzing performance & data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
- 2-4 years Experience in online e-commerce or on-line support environments.
- 2-4 years Experience in advanced SQL, scripting languages such as Python and ETL process to support complex data pipelines.
- 2-4 years Experience with data warehousing methodologies and modeling techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Finance, Data Science or Similar Degree required

Hybrid - - Candidate MUST work 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Starting October 20, resources are expected to come into the office 4 days per week. Starting January 5, resources are expected to come into the office 5 days per week. This is subject to change based on manager discretion.
Contract 2-3 months, possible extension
Design, develop, and implement web applications using Oracle APEX.
Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.
Must-Haves:
- Experience with advanced APEX features like interactive reports, charts, and dynamic actions
- Writing complex procedures/pkg/views/scripts to do data de-normalization, data extraction, data transformation(cleansing), and data loading.
- Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), data modelling (relational & dimensional) , advanced SQL , query optimization, data replication, administration
