THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking outgoing individuals with a passion for providing excellent customer service to join Onyx-Fire BC as a full-timeScheduling Coordinator!As a Scheduling Coordinator you will liaise between Field Technicians and clients by coordinating the scheduling of our services. Scheduling Coordinators multi-task between managing the schedules of our Field Technicians and collaborating with internal teams to ensure scheduled jobs are set up for success.This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Objectives & Responsibilities of the Scheduling Coordinator:
- Communicate with clients regarding the scheduling of their inspections, repairs, and services. Including creating and sending test notices, retrieving any relevant information such as access codes, special requests etc.
- Ensure all scheduled services are confirmed and scheduled appropriately (ie. Technicians with required stamps, technical level, and certification are assigned to the work order).
- Ensure all technicians are fully scheduled in most efficient/effective manner.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Team for parts required for each work order.
- Liaise with third-party contractors as required; ensuring all necessary parties are on site for successful completion of work scope.
- Providing technicians with required documentation (past inspection reports etc.) to complete scope of work.
- Communicating and coordinating with Technicians regarding key information for their schedule (eg. Check in time, special requests, etc.)
- Collaborate with Service Team (The Board) regularly regarding re-scheduling incomplete work orders.
- Work with Account Managers to ensure customers' needs regarding scheduling are being met.
- Follow department guidelines and metrics as advised to achieve company strategic goals.
- Adhere to and promote the companies core values, processes, policies and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
- Additional coordination and administrative duties as they may arise.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes, strengths, and experience:
- Previous experience as a Dispatcher, Scheduler, or similar role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to think critically with a customer centric focus to problem solving and task prioritization.
- Computer literate; confident utilizing various software systems.
- Strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Experience in or general/technical knowledge of the Fire Prevention Industry is considered an asset.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills; ability to manage various high priority tasks while planning for and meeting deadlines as needed.
- Resourceful nature and ability to think critically; able to proactively problem-solve and provide customer centric focused solutions.
PLEASE NOTE: Local candidates only. Hours of work are 8:00am 4:30pm Monday though Friday.

As a member of our program/project team, you will perform all aspects of planning and scheduling activities. You will be interacting with internal design team members, external consultants, construction contractors and/or supply vendors to understand and communicate issues/conflicts that impact the schedule. You will also conduct and co-ordinate reviews of consultants, contractors, and vendor schedules, to ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
As an intermediate Planner/Scheduler, your main tasks will include:
- Develop, maintain, and manage complex engineering and construction project schedules involving multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
- Establish Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Baseline Schedules to support project planning and execution.
- Review baseline schedules, monthly updates, and earned value reports submitted by designers and contractors for accuracy and alignment.
- Convert schedules between various scheduling software platforms to ensure compatibility and continuity.
- Integrate multiple schedules from different sources into a cohesive master schedule.
- Conduct "what-if" schedule analyses and present findings to project teams to support decision-making.
- Monitor construction contractor schedules and track progress against planned completion dates and contractual milestones.
- Apply industry best practices for schedule development, integration, and control.
- Analyze project schedules to identify critical paths, assess risks, and recommend recovery strategies.
- Identify and monitor critical activities, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination with project teams.
- Perform Earned Value Analysis (EVA), calculate key performance indicators (KPIs), and evaluate current and projected performance.
- Collaborate with cost control teams to align reporting structures and support Earned Value Management (EVM) capabilities.
- Support contingency planning and risk-adjusted forecasting to enhance schedule reliability.
- Conduct delay analyses and prepare detailed delay reports for project stakeholders.
- Load schedules with cost and resource data to support forecasting and performance tracking.
- Write clear, concise schedule narratives and progress reports for internal and external audiences.
- Generate project documentation including monthly reports, short-term look-ahead schedules, and critical item lists.
- Develop and deliver schedule and cost analysis presentations using visual, written, and verbal formats.
We invite applications from candidates with:
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in planning/scheduling of major projects in the transportation / infrastructure sector, with increasing responsibility
- Experience working on large construction projects preferred
- Experience with various procurement models
- Strong leadership and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to liaise with client, contractor, and team
- Confident and able to develop and present
- Advanced level skills with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Ability to work with Oracle Primavera cloud (OPC) is a plus
- Proficient with MS Project and Visio
- Experience with TILOS linear scheduling software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field
- Relevant certification with either AACE International or the Project Management Institute or equivalent is a plus

Our client is a leading mining organization with a strong focus on safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. They are seeking an experienced Mine Planning & Scheduling Engineer to join their team. This role will play a critical part in aligning production goals, optimizing mine and maintenance schedules, and supporting capital project delivery.
Responsibilities
Mine Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and manage mine plans (daily, weekly, monthly, annual, LOM – Life of Mine).
- Coordinate short-term and long-term mine scheduling with engineers, geologists, and operations teams.
- Ensure production targets align with mine design, reserves, and business objectives.
Maintenance Scheduling

- Microsoft Project
