ATS Traffic is urgently recruiting for a Traffic Control Person (also known as TCP or Traffic Technician) to join our branch in Ottawa! Do you enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather? • Ensure ATS work vehicles are in good, clean working condition daily

• A valid Graduated Class G Driver’s License and a Clean 3-Year Regular Drivers Abstract are required to drive our company vehicles. Class DZ license is preferred for TMA operators.
• Approximately 1 year's progressive experience in the Traffic industry is an asset; preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Own vehicle to get to and from work is required. Previous experience operating one-ton flat-deck trucks is an asset!
• As this is a safety-sensitive role, all candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test.
• Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 50 and 75 pounds.
• A valid Traffic Control Person (Book 7) ticket is an asset, however, ATS covers the cost and provides ALL training and tickets to get you started!

Summary:

The Seasonal Sample Receipt Technician is an entry-level position into the logistics chain. This position is given direction from the Logistics Supervisor and other logistics team members. • Perform basic laboratory procedures including sample weighing and preparation of reagents and calibration solutions.
• Carry our standard procedures for geochemical analysis of soil, rock and ore samples.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot basic to intermediate equipment and instruments (bottle-top dispensers, pipettes, furnaces, hot blocks, etc).
• Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Upload results using reporting software.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Post-secondary education with a Technical Diploma or Degree required (or are currently enrolled in a chemistry, geology or other science-related program).
