**Project Summary:**
The purpose of this role is to design a detailed solution architecture for an enterprise logging and auditing solution that will be administered by the IITB Cyber Security Operations Centre. The scope of this project is to stand up a new Security Engineering team to conduct software and systems engineering to integrate cybersecurity in Enterprise solution designs. The deliverables listed will serve as input for these Security Engineering activities during and beyond the project. Once the project ends, the Security Engineering team created by the project will switch into an operational mode and engineering design work will continue.
**Job Description:**
+ Review, analyze, and/or apply; architectural methods, frameworks, and models such as TOGAF, US Government FEAP, Canadian Government BTEP and GSRM, Zachman, UMM.
+ Review, analyze, and/or apply a broad range of security technologies including multiple types of systems and Applications architectures, and multiple hardware and software Platforms, including:
+ Directory standards such as X.400, X.500, and SMTP.
+ Operating systems such as MS, Unix, Linux, and Novell.
+ Networking protocols (for example, HTTP, FTP, Telnet).
+ Network routers, multiplexers, and switches.
+ Domain name services (DNS) and network time protocols (NTP).
+ Review, analyze, and/or apply secure IT architectures, standards, communications, and security protocols such as IPSec, SSL, SSH, S-MIME, HTTPS.
+ Review, analyze, and/or apply IT security protocols at all layers of the open systems interconnection (OSI) and transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP) stacks.
+ Review, analyze, and/or apply the significance and implications of market and technology trends in order to apply them within architecture Roadmaps and Solution designs. (Examples: web services security, incident management, identity management).
+ Review, analyze, and/or apply Best Practices and standards related to the concept of network zoning and defence in-depth principles.

Network Security Engineer, you will be reporting to the Network Security Manager to implement and support a wide variety of network and security technologies, combining deep knowledge of technology infrastructure to support a seamless experience for internal and external customers. • Troubleshooting cloud network and security infrastructure solutions, including hybrid cloud connectivity, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC VPN, etc.
• Responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco Firepower and Juniper firewalls.

• Responsible for troubleshooting, isolate and correct service-affecting issues on the network in areas including but not limited to: routing protocols, routers, switches, firewall administration, MPLS, BGP, VPN, load balancing.
• Responsible for building, interconnecting, and supporting networks with one of the cloud providers - Regions and Availability Zones. Including working knowledge and hands-on experience of VPC connectivity, Transit Gateway, Direct link/connect methodologies.
• Conduct research, analyze, recommend, implement, troubleshoot for SDWAN infrastructure (implementation and troubleshooting) (Fortinet and Zscaler products)
• Perform the execution of day-to-day networking operations to guarantee network availability, stability, and serviceability with the least amount of downtime possible.
• Design, maintain the network infrastructure services, including the installation, architecture, design, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and security software and hardware in a mixed vendor environment.
• Review assigned service requests daily, follow up and provide status updates to clients; effectively maintain service delivery status and backlog.
• Lead the technical delivery of projects, including design, configuration, and testing of technical solutions for enterprise-wide projects.
• Work with vendors, customers, partners, providers, and peer technical staff on implementation, optimization, and security of Network and Security system. This includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting infrastructure and services including routers, switches, access points, load balancers in both an on -premises environment and an Cloud environment, layer 7 firewalls, remote access solutions and site connectivity
• Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new software, hardware, tools, systems, and processes to increase efficiency, lower total cost of ownership, and improve performance.
• Perform infrastructure maintenance and upgrades to client environments.
• Provide incident management and support to the critical issues escalated by Network Security Services Operations, including internal and external communications, team coordination of repair and then root cause analysis efforts.
• Create and review the documentation of the current Network Architecture and develop Network solutions to enhance existing services.

• Perform technical assessments using industry standard toolsets for network, server, and security architectures.

**Your Career**
As a domain consultant STRATA for network security transformation, you provide technical expertise and
guidance in customers' network security and zero trust journey. You will be key in defining
technical solutions that secure a customer's key business imperatives. You evangelize our
industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security services that establish Palo Alto
Networks as a customer's cybersecurity partner.
**Your Impact**
? Collaborate with sales teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within your
assigned specialization.
? Present to customers as our expert at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from
practitioner to senior leadership.
? Lead and support customer demonstrations that showcase our unique value proposition.
? Responsible for prospective customers and partners' Technical Validation projects based
on best practices to ensure technical win in assigned opportunities.
? Architect solutions that will help our customers strengthen and simplify their security
posture
? Document high-level design and key use cases to ensure proper implementation and
value realization of Palo Alto Networks solutions
? Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security
landscape.
? Responsible for discussing and highlighting product alignment with customer
requirements and differentiation
? As the main technical point of contact for Network Security, you will assist and
collaborate to respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs.
? Position Palo Alto Networks or Partner delivered services as appropriate to ensure
proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks solutions
? Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position ours as the

? Distinguished by additional specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth.
**Your Experience**
? 6+ years experience in pre-sales/sales engineering within Zero Trust, Networking,
Network Security, SaaS Security or SSE/SASE
? Experience with L2-L4 Networking (L2 Switching architectures including Spanning Tree,
VLANs/trunking, IP routing including static routes, OSPF and BGP, route re-distribution,
L4 Load-balancing)
? Outstanding customer communication and problem-solving skills
? Experience in working with customers, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a can-
do attitude
? Solid understanding of NGFW, Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, CASB, Proxy, DLP
and BYOD Solutions
? Advanced knowledge of On-Premise and Cloud-Delivered Network Security
