As a Security Consultant II - Financial Services, you will be responsible for:
+ Ensuring customer success by understanding requirements, leveraging best practices and offering consulting services that meet customer needs
+ Collaborating with integrated account team to evaluate customer web architecture
+ Developing and delivering long-term security strategy and cloud solutions
+ Working with security experts to solve technical problems, demonstrating Akamai's value, and communicating effectively with all audiences

The Head of Installations will lead a coast-to-coast installations operation for commercial security projects. This role requires a master of detail, fluent in the language of physical security and oversee a team of project coordinators to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. The ideal candidate is as comfortable coaching project managers as guiding high-profile clients through obstacles—always with a calm, solutions-first approach when projects face adversity.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Provide end-to-end leadership for all installation projects, ensuring delivery is on schedule, within scope, and aligned with contractual standards and client expectations.
Team Leadership: Directly supervise and mentor a team of project coordinators and managers and installation staff, supporting their professional development and holding them accountable for project outcomes.
Client & PM Liaison: Act as the senior point of contact for both project managers and major clients, facilitating transparent communication, rapid problem resolution, and ensuring a seamless client experience.
Budget & Timeline Management: Maintain meticulous oversight of project budgets, schedules, milestones, and KPIs to guarantee profitability and flawless execution.
Issue Resolution: Proactively identify risks, respond decisively to project crises, troubleshoot technical and resource challenges, and put out “fires” to keep projects on track and clients satisfied.
Quality & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, documentation, and installation best practices across all engagements.
Continuous Improvement: Review and refine installation processes, integration practices, and reporting mechanisms to drive efficiency and margin improvement across the division.
Proven Leadership: 5+ years overseeing large-scale electronic security or life-safety installation projects, with at least 3 years managing project managers or equivalent supervisory experience.
Physical Security Expertise: Deep knowledge of security technologies, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and integrated systems; vendor management and hands-on installation experience a plus.
Detail Orientation: Track record of flawless, detail-heavy execution across complex, high-volume projects.
Crisis Management: Demonstrated ability to resolve project setbacks, conflicting priorities, or emergencies calmly and quickly in a leadership capacity.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills, equally effective in C-suite boardrooms, with project teams, and on project sites.
Process Discipline: Skilled in documentation, budgeting, timeline and deliverable tracking with a process-driven mindset.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, electronics, or a business/technical field preferred; equivalent progressive experience considered.
