We are seeking world-class technical solutions engineers (TSE) to come join our team, to help support our products and solutions. A TSE at Arista is equivalent to a Tier 3 TAC or Escalation Engineer in most support organizations. You will work with a diverse, multicultural team of top-notch engineers who act as our customers’ champions. You will also work closely with members of software/hardware engineering, product management, customer engineering and sales teams. This is a hybrid work environment where office presence is required 1-2 days a week.

What You’ll Do

The ideal candidate can troubleshoot complex and dynamic customer environments while balancing the communications needs of each case. They must have a strong understanding of Routing, Switching, Wireless, and Security. A strong analytical mind and the ability to triage are also required. As we continually release new features and products, they must have a high aptitude for learning and teaching.

Our engineers work closely with other Customer Engineering, Software, and Hardware development team members, diagnosing problems and communicating them in multiple technical contexts. Thus, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Post-sales technical support of Arista Campus products and solutions.
  • Respond to customer product inquiries via telephone or in written, internet-based email.
  • Resolve customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance, product application, or compatibility matters.
  • Troubleshoot problems with hardware equipment and software applications and recommend corrective action.
  • Recreate customer network issues in a dedicated lab environment (as needed).
  • Document customer communication and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and product development.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor in CS/IT/CIS/EE or equivalent in experience
  • Working knowledge of networking industry, products, and protocols
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience and a combination of the following: designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging, and administering the following network protocols and technologies:
    • AAA/RADIUS/TACACS, ACL, ARP, BGP (RFC 4271), DHCP, DNS, 1G/10G Ethernet (IEEE 802.3ab IEEE 802.3ae), Flow Control, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4 IPv6,  LACP, LLDP, MPLS, NAT, Open Flow, OSPF (RFC 2328), PIM, PoE (IEEE 802.3.af/at/bt) QOS, RIP, Sflow, SNMP, STP/RSTP/MST (IEEE 802.1d), VARP/VRRP, VLAN (IEEE 802.1q), LACP, VLANs (IEEE 802.1Q), MAC Learning, VXLAN, EVPN and GRE
    • RF fundamentals, -Wireless clients and drivers, -Wireless security (WPA2, WPA3)
    • Authentication frameworks EAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS, AAA/RADIUS/TACACS
  • Routing, Switching, and Security protocols are a plus
  • Experience with packet capture/analysis tools is highly desired.
  • A strong comfort level with Linux is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting (C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, shell) is a plus

Compensation Information

The new hire base pay for this role has a pay range of $108,000 to $150,000. 

Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. 

The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection. The Manager is accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality services per the Statements of Work (SOW).   • Embodies Trusted Advisor principles, including building trust and influencing loyalty with the client and mentoring their coworkers.
  • Works collaboratively with the Supervisor, and directly with their team, in our coaching program, providing consistent and constructive feedback to their team as a coach, in alignment with our Trusted Advisor program, identifying performance opportunities and risk by uncovering and recognizing patterns in our service delivery impacting the client experience.

  • 11 years total of Information Technology experience to include 7 years of security experience in a client-focused environment, and/or working in security operations center, and at least 2 years of experience leading projects and initiatives with a significant and material focus on cybersecurity that improved and transformed the business 
  • At least 2 years of experience with people, project or customer account leadership.
  • At least 3 technical advanced or expert level certifications in Managed Security Services disciplines, including but not limited to: 
  • Microsoft SC-200, SC-100, SC-300, SC-400; CCNP Security, CyberOps Professional, CCIE Security; Palo Alto PCNSE, Cortex XDR-PMXdC; IBM QRadar Security: Administrator, Deployment Professional; SANS GCIA, GCIH, GSOM, Splunk, CrowdStrike Falcon: CCCS, CCFR, CCFH, CCFA; CISM, CISA. CEH; or similar technology certifications
  • Understanding of IT processes, SOC/NOC processes and procedures; Knowledge of ITIL and COBIT frameworks with relevant certification is a plus.
  • The position is part of a 7-day per week, 24-hour per day managed services operations. Must be available to work outside of the regular business hours which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent prioritization / and time management skills, including the ability to manage their time without supervision to focus on priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience managing and leading IT infrastructure and Information Systems Design or support involving hardware, software and services at an enterprise level for at least one discipline in the Managed Security Services portfolio 
  • Direct involvement in working with internal and external teams to implement and troubleshoot complex configuration hardware, software and services
  • Experience presenting ideas and solutions to clients and adapting presentation style to fit particular client situations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate the investigation of complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in- depth evaluation of variable factors from multiple IT infrastructure systems

About the role

Job Summary

 The Sr. Analyst provides second-level technical client support such as: cyber security analysis of detected anomalies; deep analysis of the operating system; dealing with system crashes and bug fixes; handling troubleshooting; packets captures; configurations; restoring from back up; repair for appliances, networks, and infrastructure, and other system issues for one or more of three particular disciplines: Network Security, Information Security, and/or Endpoint Security; and brings an established repository of technical expertise to act as a Subject Matter Expert. A career as a Senior Solutions Architect Security Operations Center (SOC) in the Information Security Strategy (ISS) team at National Bank means acting as a specialist in the field of surveillance, detection and response to security events. It is through your technical skills in this field, your experience as an architect and your knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud computing that you have a positive impact on the organization's security posture.


Your job:

• Understand the detection and response business needs by collaborating with SOC - Security Operations Center stakeholders.

• Promote architecture principles and establish architecture targets and solutions in the Cybersecurity Monitoring sub-domain.

• Contribute to the technology vision of the sub-domain and its execution, taking into account risk reduction, technology debt, and operational efficiency.

• Produce architecture deliverables such as technology targets, roadmaps, orientations, positionings, solutions, and integration patterns.

• Support business and IT teams in decision-making, solving complex challenges and implementing robust and well-integrated solutions.

• Support the cybersecurity program to strengthen the organization's security posture.

• Encourage innovation by testing solutions with high-risk reduction potential.


Your team:

Within the CISO sector of National Bank, you are part of a team of fifteen senior security architects and report to Jérôme Torck, Senior Director, Cybersecurity Solutions Architecture. Our team stands out for its expertise in information security technology topics, its quality of delivery, and its architectural services.

We favor a variety of forms of continuous learning to enrich your development, including learning in action, training content made available to you and working in collaboration with colleagues with diverse expertise and profiles.


Prerequisite:

• Bachelor's degree related to the field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proficient in enterprise and solution architecture best practices and methodologies.

• In-depth expertise in cybersecurity, with a focus on security monitoring concepts (SIEM, SOAR, Detection Engineering, AI Decision Making, Red & Blue Teams, etc.).

• Knowledge of detection and protection tools such as Crowdstrike, Splunk ES or ExtraHop RevealX.

• Recent AWS Solution Architect Associate certification and demonstrated experience on AWS implementations.

• Ability to manage and influence stakeholders, leadership and team spirit.
