Position Summary:
The Security Systems Technician will primarily be responsible to install, and trouble shoot security system components in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare for installations by reviewing installation orders, gathering equipment, supplies, and tools, and coordinating schedules with customers.
- Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.

Qualifications:

- Valid TQ certification required.

- Skilled in troubleshooting relays and device power connections with electrical multimeter
- Vendor certification in low voltage systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Gallagher, Bosch, DSC, Axis, Vivotek or Delta Controls is beneficial.
- Valid BC Security Worker TQ certification required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
- Background check and security clearance.

As a Senior Technician - Security Systems with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation.
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.
- Utilizing expertise and experience to serve as a mentor to colleagues, offering guidance in testing, fine-tuning, and optimizing equipment for peak operational efficiency.

- Previous experience leading installations at the site level.
- Valid TQ certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean abstract.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems (e.g., LENEL, GENETEC, MILESTONE, AVIGILON, AMAG, Keyscan, Kantech, SENSTAR, HANWHA, BOSCH, DSC, and others).
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent (considered an asset).

Job Summary:
The Security Systems Technician Apprentice will primarily be responsible to install, and trouble shoot security system components in commercial and institutional settings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare for installations by reviewing installation orders, gathering equipment, supplies, and tools
· Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
· Plan installations by surveying and evaluating location, identifying installation requirements, and developing an installation plan.
· Install equipment, and run wiring.
· Involved in verifying systems functioning properly by testing equipment, connections, and signals, and identifying and correcting problems.
· Troubleshoot systems, resolve issues for customers and end users.
· Protect organizations values by keeping information confidential.
· Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and keeping security information confidential.
Qualifications:
· Security Systems Technician Training.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Valid Driver's License
· Background check and security clearance

As a Technician lI - Security with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.
This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.
We expect all employees to represent Paladin in a professional manner in line with our values of a leadership mindset, people development, team, and client-focused. Though based in Moncton you may be required to travel to job sites throughout the region.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, configure, maintain and service electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion alarms, and related security equipment.
- Perform cable pulling, termination, and routing as part of security system installation.
- Provide the customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiries.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning security equipment and systems.
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day. when you are not regularly scheduled to work.
- Possible overnight travel required
- Support, lead, and mentor team members.
- Design systems and layout.
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
- Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years plus of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry.
- Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with security systems, CCTV, and alarms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to pass ten-year security clearance.
- Post secondary training in electronics or equivalent.
- Vendor Certification in low-voltage systems.
- Proper hand and power tool operations and safety
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
- Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
- Ability to complete projects on time and on budget
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to function as an effective team member
- Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves
