This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a construction or roofing background who enjoys teaching, working with their hands, and helping others succeed.

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll train contractors, roofers, and installers on the proper installation of skylight products. You’ll be the go-to expert in the field, traveling to job sites and hosting training sessions at the company’s Academy in Port Coquitlam. Beyond installation techniques, you’ll also share best practices that help installers grow their business and improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on training sessions showing roofers and contractors how to properly install skylight products.

• Help contractors strengthen their skills, troubleshoot installations, and improve overall business success.
• Provide support at the showroom when not traveling.
• Keep training sessions interactive, practical, and safety-focused.
• Contribute to the creation of training materials and track participants using CRM tools.

What We’re Looking For

• Solid background in construction, roofing, or installation work .
• Comfortable with tools and skilled in hands-on building practices.
• Strong communicator, able to teach and create enthusiasm in group settings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Physically able to lift/carry 60+ lbs, climb, and work in hands-on settings.
• Willingness to travel overnight across BC (approx. 25% annually).

• Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or training others.

Reporting to the Manager, Training and Development and working in a fast-paced environment, the Training Representative will be responsible for delivering unparalleled training and customer service to both internal and external clients on both MFDA/IIROC platforms. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, researching and taking the initiative for resolving issues in a proactive manner. Additionally, the candidate will take personal responsibility for identifying client needs and providing service excellence while continuously looking for ways to improve quality service delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Training Worldsource Financial Management Inc. and Worldsource Securities Inc. branch offices and head office staff IIROC and MFDA platforms, tailoring material to suit;
• Creating material for online learning modules and participation/presenting in monthly branch webinars;
• Conducting prospect demos for potential new advisors;
• Conducting Dataphile testing including: creating/following test scripts and documenting results;
• Participating in annual review of training guides on the portal and suggesting updates;
• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with advisors through email, conference calls and scheduled office visits;
• Analyzing, researching and responding to client inquiries in a proactive manner; and
• Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience
• IFIC or CSC an asset
• 10 years similar experience within the investment industry
• Effective written and communication skills
• Willingness to work independently
• Effective management of projects, timelines and priorities
• Strong customer focus and strong professional acumen
• Strong problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills
• Superior communication, organizational and listening skills
• Familiarity with the Dataphile is preferred.
• Excellent PC skills
• Ability and willingness to travel within Canada
• Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
