Your new role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Product Engineering Team
Description of team: The Product Engineer role participates in every phase of the manufacturing cycle from quotation to delivery, interacting with all departments of the organization.
- Coordinate with Sales & the customer to help define the scope of work to be performed within the current manufacturing phase of the project (process development, characterization, qualification, validation, and production).
- Prepare technical quotations and proposals for build-to-print and turnkey mandates for microelectronic subassemblies, finished devices, and process development activities.
- Review product documentation (Bill of materials, design and test specifications, quality and regulatory standards).
- Assess feasibility; identify constraints, assumptions, exclusions, costs, and lead time.
- Manage design activities of new and existing products.
- Ensure compatibility between substrate, component, manufacturing material, manufacturing process, test methods, industry standards, environmental conditions, and customer constraints.
What you'll need to succeed
- Educational level: Electrical Engineering – Microelectronics is an asset. (You can also look at Aerospace backgrounds, although they may be a bit more mechanically inclined, they are still worth looking at).
- Member of the OIQ, or at least in the process of being a member of OIQ.
- Leadership and managerial experience.
- Great people skills for both internal communications and external with customers.
- Microelectronics manufacturing,
- Familiar with the following standards:
- Intimate knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly and Printed Circuit Board Assembly manufacturing processes (solder printing, component pick and place, reflow, cleaning, thru-hole installation, etc.).
- Manufacturing experience involving J-STD-001 Class 3 and Space Addendum Circuit Card Assemblies and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
- Working in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100 manufacturing environment

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a P.Eng. designation.
- At least 5 years of power distribution design experience.
- Proven track record in Renewable, Industrial, and Commercial projects.
- Expertise in power distribution design, substation design, and project management.
- Proficiency in electrical software (e.g., CYMCAP, CYMGrd, SKM, ETAP) and CAD software (AutoCAD).
- Experience in heavy industrial or Battery Energy Storage facilities is an asset.
