  • This full-time, permanent position will start ASAP and work primarily at our head office on Baker Street in beautiful Nelson, BC.
  • Festival Site Work: The successful candidates will also be required to work on-site at the festival location near Salmo, BC for about 1 month each July.

Bookkeepers work to maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Record-Keeping

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper, or in a similar financial role.
  • Technical Skills
    • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero, Sage) or willingness to learn.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including the ability to perform complex data analysis, and utilize advanced functions such as SUMIF, XLOOKUP and pivot tables.

The Role

  • Efficiently and accurately perform full-cycle bookkeeping services for a variety of clients and industries primarily using cloud-based software such as Xero and QBO.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the key responsibilities of the Senior Bookkeeper would entail but are not limited to:

Bookkeeping Functions:

  • Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping duties and month end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and reconcile sub-ledgers to G/L on a monthly basis.
  • Perform credit card and bank postings and monthly reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end procedures.
  • Responsible for all regulatory returns (GST, PST, WorkSafeBC & EHT) and WCB claims.


Payroll & HR Functions:

  • Payroll processing (bi-weekly), employee maintenance and government requirements on payroll (T4s, T5s and ROEs).
  • Maintain HR documents, update HRIS and ensure employee files are up-to-date.
  • Assist with HR support functions.
  • Administer extended health plans.


Accounts Payable Functions:

  • Review of vendors invoices for authorization, documentation and data entry into the accounting system.
  • Reconcile vendor statements to A/P sub ledger and follow up with missing information.
  • Process payments in the form of cheque runs, credit card payments and other payment methods.
  • File paid statements/invoices.


General Functions:

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by Management.


Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary credential in Bookkeeping, Accounting or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Drivers License (Class 5).


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years full cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 50 Preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office and Excel.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experience Book Keeper whom will join the Finance department and support all brands across Fox Group.

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:



  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using industry-leading accounting software
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision
  • Reconcile bank statement and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial reports, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, compliance with financial regulations, and adherence to company policies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, gathering financial information, and supporting financial aspects of various projects
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in financial regulations to ensure the company financial practices are up-to-date and compliant

The ideal Candidates



  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Position : Bookkeeper

Location: Mississauga, ON

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year (depending on experience)

Industry: Manufacturing/Accounting/Finance/Bookkeeping

Employment Term: Fulltime/Permanent

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Bookkeeping.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
  • Prepare financial statements as needed.
  • Performs other bookkeeping-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or a related field.
  • 3-5 years related bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing/industrial/technical.
  • Previous experience with Spire and/or Epicor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
