**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Ensure adherence to project deadlines, contract specifications, and applicable engineering codes.
+ Develop and implement standard operating procedures for project execution.
+ Plan and monitor labor costs, third-party materials, and subcontractor expenses.
+ Oversee the design, engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
+ Evaluate subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project goals.
+ Lead asset lifecycle management across P3 facilities to optimize operational efficiency.
+ Conduct hazard assessments and enforce health and safety policies.
+ Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes and closeout materials.
+ Provide regular updates to senior leadership and manage client communications effectively
+ Produce accurate monthly revenue forecasts to report to the business.
+ Ensure a safe working environment and safe work practices are in place and enforced.
+ Provide end user support for CORA, SAP, QFM (CMMS) while completing daily activities, Lifecycle Maintenance, variation and project updates, within these systems.
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ Post Secondary Diploma in Engineering, Business, Finance, or relevant discipline
+ 5+ years of Project Management preferably in construction, healthcare industry
**WE VALUE**
+ Previous P3 business experience
+ Expertise with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and SharePoint
+ Knowledge of IT and financial systems preferred (Sales Force, SAP, Cora PPM etc.).
+ Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in cross-functional collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.
+ Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage priorities
+ Improving performance, meeting commitments, and getting results
+ Exceeding internal and external customer expectations
+ Master's degree and Project Management certification (PMP) preferred.
+ Effective communication skills

**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a **Deputy Construction Manager** with specific experience in delivering **greenhouse gas (GHG)/Net-zero** related projectsto join our team. This position is based on-site, out of **Mississauga** . We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.
**Major Requirements:**
+ Delivery of the GHG and Priority Projects in line with scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk requirements.
+ Acts as the delegate for the Construction Manager when required, ensuring continuity in the oversight and coordination of construction activities.
+ Supports the Construction Manager in executing responsibilities across all aspects of project delivery, including the following key functions:
+ Leads the owner's oversight of construction coordination and inspection activities.
+ Collaborates with the contractor's construction management team to ensure effective and aligned project execution.
+ Manages the owner's construction management team, including the Deputy Construction Manager and Construction Inspectors, within the sub-program.
+ Provides expert guidance on construction management and overall project delivery matters.
+ Assists in design management efforts to confirm alignment with procurement and construction requirements.
+ Participates in design-phase reviews, including constructability assessments, scope validation, and value engineering.
+ Monitors contractor activities to assess compliance with technical specifications and project requirements.
+ Tracks construction progress and schedule performance, producing regular status reports.
+ Supports financial processes, including review of contractor applications for payment and invoicing.
+ Oversees post-construction activities to ensure a smooth transition to operations and performs warranty reviews.
+ Contributes to claims analysis and provides recommendations for resolution strategies
+ Coordinates with safety, quality assurance, and inspection teams to uphold project standards.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum:
+ No less than a A University Degree + 8 years of relevant experience in pre and post contract functions
+ Professional experience in large international airport projects or equivalent infrastructure programs with a focus delivering greenhouse gas / net zero related projects and an assortment of minor works.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
+ At least 5 years of professional experience in pre- and post-contract functions within large airport projects or similar infrastructure programs.
+ Solid understanding of Canadian contract laws.
+ Expertise in building construction, quantity surveying, contracts, procurement, and dispute resolution.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and coordinate large groups, including facilitating workshops.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications.
**Additional Information**
This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
