**Responsibilities**
Maintain and repair a variety of equipment, including sweepers, water trucks, and small engines.

Engage in equipment rebuilds and conversions, including propane conversions for qualified candidates.
Tackle breakdowns and ensure equipment is operational in a timely manner.
Service and clean equipment, maintaining high standards of operation.
Manage paper logs for maintenance and repairs.
**Essential Skills**
Red Seal CT mechanic or Red Seal HD mechanic certification.
5+ years of experience as a Mechanic.
Valid BC driveru2019s license.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in welding and fabrication.
Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Propane conversion experience is a plus.

**What you''ll do:**
Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
Other duties assigned as needed
**Requirements:**
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver''s license with acceptable driving record
5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
Must own tools applicable to position
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Key Duties:
- Services the mechanical requirements of the Packaging department. This includes the setup, repair and preventative maintenance of the equipment
- Works closely with the Packaging Team Leaders to ensure the facilitation of the packaging schedule through the efficient changeover and running of packaging equipment.
- Assists in the preparation of packaging line changeovers by:
- Providing assistance in planning and establishing timelines for changeovers;
- Reviewing tooling needs prior to changeovers;
- Ensuring change parts are available and in good condition, as well as stored in a sanitary manner;
- Advising packaging Team Leaders of potential areas for concern prior to changeover.
- Facilitates efficient line set-up and pre-run inspection by:
- Providing consultation and assistance to packaging staff on an as needed basis during changeovers;
- Reviewing mechanical condition of line prior to startup.
- Assisting packaging personnel in test running all components of the line.
Facilitates efficient line operation by:
- Providing training, consultation and assistance to packaging staff on an as needed basis during line operation;
- Reviewing ongoing packaging machine downtime and participating in corrective action as required.
Works as a team with the packaging staff to help trouble shoot and resolve mechanical problems as required by the maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Highschool education
- Basic math and writing skills
- Experience in a high-speed packaging environment
- Troubleshooting skills
- Works well in a team setting as well as the ability to work independently

Eagle Well Servicing is hiring a Mechanic to join our team in our Blackfalds location!
Western Energy Services Corp. (Corporate) is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada, and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Fleet and Equipment Manager, the Mechanic will be responsible for performing major mechanical and electrical diagnosis as well as diesel engine, hydraulic systems, transmission and generator repairs. This role will require travel to various remote locations for extended periods across Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair - engines, transmissions, gear boxes, radiators, mud pumps and drawworks within our well servicing division.
- Troubleshoot and test generator set output.
- Manage and maintain service truck, ensuring it is stocked with required tools and parts.
- Create and manage work orders to be submitted for equipment tracking purposes.
- Utilize electronic and computerized testing equipment to aid in diagnosis and repairs.
- Maintain and document valve set intervals on all engines.
- Create parts lists for repairs and generate purchase orders for required vendors.
- Help facilitate equipment replacement in field for both preventative maintenance and breakdown occurrences.
- Travel to multiple service rig operational locations.
- Promote and adhere to all company safety policies.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess a valid Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Mechanic Certificate
- Strong diagnostic abilities and troubleshooting experience with various engines including Cat, Isuzu, Detroit and Cummins.
- Experience in engine overhauls is an asset
- Experience with
- Must possess a valid driver license
- Possessing a valid H2S and first aid certification is an asset
- Forklift and loader operation experience is and asset
- Service rig experience is an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential
