The R&D Infrastructure and Operations Leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure needed to support software development and product validation and verification process across GA.
Reporting to the CTO, this role will involve understanding the business strategy for product development and ensuring the most updated tools and technologies for DevOps environment and GA Lab capabilities are available for the R&D team to deliver with high quality and efficiency.
**Job Description**
**Key responsibilities:**
+ Lead the combined team of DevOps, GA Lab, and R&D Operations to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure, tools, and testing capabilities to support GA product development strategy.
+ Lead the development and execution of Grid Automation DevOps and MLOps roadmap aligned with overall company product development goals.
+ Ensure design, implementation, and maintenance of robust CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
+ Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual operations and increase deployment reliability.
+ Establish and enforce validation and verification engineering rigor across all development activities, ensuring highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance are maintained.
+ Serve as the authority on V&V practices, ensuring testing at IED and system level following latest methodologies and technical standards, ensuring adherence to best practices, scalability, performance, and security in all Grid Automation solutions.
+ Implement system, stress, and environmental testing strategy to ensure high level of design defects detection and implement loopback process for return on experience.
+ Drive SAFe deployment for new product introduction acceleration and NPI prioritization decisions supported by a solid process.
+ Partner with engineering leaders to establish technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
+ Extensive years of experience in software development, control and automation systems, or related technical fields, with significant and demonstrated years in a leadership or managerial role.
+ Proven experience in product development, software development, validation and verification.
+ An exceptional background in leading multidisciplinary teams.
+ In-depth knowledge of design and engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
+ Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills with a track record of leading multidisciplinary, high-performing teams.
+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Beyond the sales floor, your attention extends to the stockroom, which you keep organized and running efficiently at all times. You are both a mentor and a leader to Merchandising/Stock Associates. Your excellent communication skills also cross channels to the sales team to ensure they are involved in visual and operational excellence.
A day in the life as a Team Leader, Operations.
+ Lead designated functional team and manage associate workload as determined in partnership with the Assistant Store Leader.
+ Coach associates on exceptional performance and maintain a strong visible presence in the department/work area.
+ Partner with the Assistant Store Leader to train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, visual, policies and procedures, as applicable.
+ Maintain an understanding of new store initiatives and communicate changes to the Department Specialists and associates, ensuring adoption throughout the store, into steady state.
+ Focus on promoting and driving sales, maintaining an awareness of current product in store and not in store.
+ Review KPI results, working with Assistant Store Leaders to identify opportunities and corrective actions.
+ Communicate regularly with the applicable functional Assistant Store Leader r to review business results, execution of plans/strategies, customer feedback and associate performance.
+ Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick and efficient service through setting expectations and modeling behaviors.

**What are your contributions to the team?**
As a Leader, Operations at Bombardier, reporting to the Operations Director, you are responsible for managing unionized employees. Your role requires acting as a coach and a communicator.
+ Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees on the weekend shift, 12 hours for 3 days, Friday to Sunday.
+ Be responsible for the operational processes by achieving and monitoring the objectives.
+ Plan the daily operations and follow up on them.
+ Adhere to the management system by reporting and analyzing various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
+ Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
+ Maintain communication with other departments for any issue related to his sector.
+ Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
+ Ensure the training of its employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.
+ Promote a work environment based on engagement, teamwork, and open communication.
**How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience :**
+ You have a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management or a related field.
+ You have at least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
+ You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
+ You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
+ You are available, flexible and motivated by a stimulating and changing environment.
+ You have excellent communication and leadership skills.
+ You are bilingual.
