A career as a Digital and Data Product Owner within National Bank Insurance is an opportunity to play a key role in the growth of the sector by leading the development of high-value technological products for both our internal and external clients. You will be involved in multiple simultaneous mandates related to digital and data initiatives and play a critical role in achieving our business ambitions.

Your role:

  • Act as a Product Owner in an Agile environment for complex projects that translate into technical features.

  • Collaborate with our IT partners and our various Data, Product, and Digital leads to deliver initiatives and contribute to the deployment of our business strategies.

  • Break down and sequence a target vision to maximize value delivery, taking into account constraints and interdependencies with other projects or departments. This includes building and managing the backlog that supports the business vision and prioritizing the MVP for the delivery team based on business value.

  • Understand and support the digital and data initiative roadmap in alignment with business objectives.

  • Gather user needs (clients, advisors, managers) and ensure alignment with the business strategy. Translate these needs into clear, value-oriented user stories and ensure the technical teams understand the needs and the acceptance criteria for expected deliverables.

  • Actively participate in governance meetings and Agile ceremonies, regularly presenting product progress to stakeholders while incorporating their feedback into future iterations.

Prerequisites:

  • University degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in financial services and insurance products

  • Experience delivering solutions as a Product Owner (P.O.)

  • Strong understanding of complex technological environments and Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)

  • Excellent communication skills, priority management, and conflict resolution abilities

  • Analytical mindset, client-oriented, and focused on value creation. Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and make recommendations

  • Proficiency with project management tools used by the Bank in Agile environments: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
