Overall Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day quality system of the Woodstock Facility. Ensure that the quality, capability and performance targets of both the product and manufacturing processes are met. Responsible to increase product quality, through the continuous improvement of processes. Provide and use quality and technical knowledge and skills to support other ArcelorMittal's business processes. Understand the long-term mission and objectives of the organization and ensure alignment of the Quality Department. Take a leadership role to develop and mentor Quality department as individuals or as a group through the execution of work projects.
Accountabilities:
· Responsible for increasing product quality through the continuous improvement process and work practices
· Ensure that the quality, capability and performance targets of both the product and manufacturing processes are met
· Maintain a competitive advantage from a quality standpoint for AMTB's manufacturing processes.
· Advise and coach the management team in interpreting policies and legislation as required
· Understand the long-term mission and objectives of the organization and ensure alignment of the quality department
· Budget and maintain purchasing control for the quality department
· Own and manage the capability and performance of quality in Woodstock through upgrades, continuous improvements, new installations and maintenance.
· Contribute to long-term planning by proactive planning of quality processes and equipment to ensure appropriate capability and continued competitive advantage.
· Ensure support of AMTB's long-term strategic goals by constantly searching out improvement opportunities, develop and implement effective business unit tactics to achieve long-term plant and corporate goals.
· Ensure the identification and containment of all non-conforming products produced by the Canadian Facilities
· Lead and Maintain APQP Workshops
· Support launch management for the parts/processes via ECN, PCN, etc.
· PPAP readiness of all components and end-item finished goods
· Lead root cause workshops through to corrective actions implementation
· Conduct Quality training throughout the organization as required
· Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
· Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.

Reporting to the President and General Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for compliance and adherence to ISO 9001 international standards, CWB, etc., and will ensure the entire organization meets the necessary conditions not only to operate under the mentioned standards but also to meet customer requirements.

- Conduct and prepare the Management Review and Quality Planning efforts as part of the Product Realization process, contributing with the necessary information.
- Oversees the continuous improvement of the entire Quality Management System throughout the organization by suggesting Lean Management Strategies along with good overall housekeeping initiatives.
- Controls all authority media, namely, stamps or signatures or a combination of both, as well as any other type of media use with the purpose of acceptance or validation.
- Plan, develop, execute, and accurately document the metrological inspection of products.
- Ensures all Quality documentation clearly and concisely show all details of inspection activities.
- Educate, supervise, and coach all Quality Control inspectors, techs, specialists, etc.
- Maintain and monitor all instruments and equipment used for the purpose of measuring and monitoring products in the company using the companys calibration program.
- Plan, test, develop and recommend the need for processes and work instructions for calibration of the instruments and equipment.
- Clearly documents through nonconformance reports and advise the General Manager and/or the President of findings, which will directly or indirectly affect the quality of products negatively.
- Conduct desk or site audits of potential suppliers as directed by the General Manager/or the President and give recommendations for approval or disapproval.
- Conduct internal audit responsibilities as directed by the President and in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Ensure quality records are complete and maintained in an organized fashion for retrieval and review.
Qualifications:
- A college diploma graduate or university degree in any manufacturing related discipline (Engineering, Quality, etc.) or equivalent with experience for 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with leadership, business stakeholders and members of the community and public.
- At least 2 years experience working as a metrology inspector or alternatively 3 years as minimum managing people in a metrology laboratory environment.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with Quality Assurance and Control methods including: ITPs, Control Plans, QCS16 (AS9102 FAIs) or equivalent from other industries with a minimum of 2 years working with First Article Inspection Software

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor a QA/QC team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Serve as the site lead during audits, inspections, and client interactions
Track and report on quality KPIs and site scorecard metrics
Quality Assurance (QA)
Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and FDA 21 CFR Part 111 regulations
Manage internal audits, supplier qualification, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls
Approve validation protocols and quality documentation
Quality Control (QC)
Supervise testing of raw materials, in-process checks, and finished goods
Manage environmental and microbial monitoring programs

Pro Metal offers plasma, laser and waterjet cutting, CWB and AWS Welding, CNC machining and Powder Coating. Pro Metal Industries is seeking a Full Time Quality Manager. Reporting to the President and General Manager, the Quality Manager will be responsible for compliance and adherence to ISO 9001 international standards, CWB, etc., and will ensure the entire organization meets the necessary conditions not only to operate under the mentioned standards but also to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Supervises all Quality Assurance and Control activities in the Quality Department including but not limited to maintaining and monitoring the qualification of all instruments and Test equipment for product conformance, scheduling of personnel necessary to meet delivery and quality requirements, as well ensuring the complete Quality Management System is functioning effectively and in compliance.
- Liaise and cooperate with the customer or customer representatives to resolve their concerns, and where necessary, provide preventive or corrective action to settle any discrepancies arising from process or product defects.
- Liaise with the ISO Certifying Registrar Audits as well as any other on-site audits conducted by the customer, to comply with the specified requirements and to respond to any question that may arise as part of the audits.
- Respond to any customers desk audit, quality surveys, RFI (Request for Information) or any other Quality related activity generated as part of a customer/prospective customer relationship.
- Prepare and follow through with Corrective or Preventive Actions as part of process or product discrepancies.
- Conduct and prepare the Management Review and Quality Planning efforts as part of the Product Realization process, contributing with the necessary information.
- Oversees the continuous improvement of the entire Quality Management System throughout the organization by suggesting Lean Management Strategies along with good overall housekeeping initiatives.
- Controls all authority media, namely, stamps or signatures or a combination of both, as well as any other type of media use with the purpose of acceptance or validation.
- Plan, develop, execute, and accurately document the metrological inspection of products.
- Ensures all Quality documentation clearly and concisely show all details of inspection activities.
- Educate, supervise, and coach all Quality Control inspectors, techs, specialists, etc.
- Maintain and monitor all instruments and equipment used for the purpose of measuring and monitoring products in the company using the companys calibration program.
- Plan, test, develop and recommend the need for processes and work instructions for calibration of the instruments and equipment.
- Clearly documents through nonconformance reports and advise the General Manager and/or the President of findings, which will directly or indirectly affect the quality of products negatively.
- Conduct desk or site audits of potential suppliers as directed by the General Manager/or the President and give recommendations for approval or disapproval.
- Conduct internal audit responsibilities as directed by the President and in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Ensure quality records are complete and maintained in an organized fashion for retrieval and review.
Qualifications:
- A college diploma graduate or university degree in any manufacturing related discipline (Engineering, Quality, etc.) or equivalent with experience for 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with leadership, business stakeholders and members of the community and public.
- At least 2 years experience working as a metrology inspector or alternatively 3 years as minimum managing people in a metrology laboratory environment.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with Quality Assurance and Control methods including: ITPs, Control Plans, QCS16 (AS9102 FAIs) or equivalent from other industries with a minimum of 2 years working with First Article Inspection Software
- Must hold Canadian Citizenship and have a clean criminal record. Must be able to pass a security clearance.
- Ideally possessing a Lead Auditor certification or having sound Knowledge of ISO 9001 Internal Auditing or equivalent experience.
- In depth Knowledge of First Offs, in-process and Final inspections as well as all other ISO9001 standard practices.
- Solid background with the use and applications of Coordinate Measuring Machines, scanning and validating product compliance including basic understanding of CAD systems.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office with the ability to create and present to shop personnel and to customers as needed).
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve performance to achieve organizational goals and objectives
- Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and provide feedback to employees, as well as accepting and acting on feedback from employees
- Ability to prioritize tasks and use time effectively to set action plans to achieve business targets
