Job summary
Reporting to the Digital Performance Manager, the SEO Specialist is responsible for the SEO strategy aimed at improving the visibility, presence, and performance of our e-commerce platforms. They guide the company through traditional search engines, GenAI platforms, AI-based purchasing agents, local SEO, and product visibility. Their mission is to generate qualified organic traffic, increase product visibility, and drive sales through innovative SEO practices tailored to the evolving customer journey.
Your mission at Legault Group:
SEO strategy and implementation
- Develop and drive the comprehensive SEO strategy (technical, on-site, off-site);
- Optimize product pages, category structures, metadata, and content to maximize visibility and conversion
- Monitor algorithm changes and adjust strategies to remain competitive;
GenAI and emerging research
- Implement tactics for GenAI platforms and AI-based shopping assistants;
- Ensure optimal brand and product presence in AI-assisted search environments;
Local SEO and in-store visibility
- Optimize local store presence via profiles, maps, and directories;
- Enhance omnichannel visibility to drive online and in-store traffic;
Cross-functional collaboration
- Align natural referencing with campaigns, promotions, and product launches with content, merchandising, and marketing teams;
- Collaborate with IT and e-commerce teams to improve site speed, indexing, and search;
Performance monitoring and analysis
- Define and track SEO KPIs: ranking, organic traffic, click-through rate, conversion, and revenue contribution;
- Conduct audits and share analysis and best practices across brands for large-scale implementation;
Profile seeked :
- At least 5 years of experience in natural referencing (experience in retail or e-commerce highly appreciated).
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, e-commerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in growing organic traffic and impacting sales through SEO strategies.
- In-depth expertise in technical SEO, keyword research, site audits, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog).
- Good knowledge of AI-based search trends, GenAI platforms, and shopping agents.
- Experience in local SEO for multi-site and omnichannel retail environments.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally with content, product, IT, and marketing teams.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required, as you will be called upon to interact regularly with clients, partners, and employees across Canada in both official languages.

We are seeking a Local SEO Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local search engine optimization and how it can improve the visibility and credibility of local businesses in search engine results pages (SERPs). The Local SEO Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing local SEO strategies to improve our clients' online presence, including optimizing their Google Maps listings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct keyword research to identify local search terms relevant to our clients' businesses.
- Optimize Google My Business profiles and Google Maps listings to increase visibility and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage online reviews on Google, Yelp, and other review platforms.
