Are you a logistics leader with a passion for efficiency, team development, and continuous improvement? Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Shipping and Logistics Supervisor, where you’ll oversee the flow of materials, manage inventory operators, and lead a high-performing shipping/receiving team.

The Successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and coordinate the movement of raw materials, components, and supplies to support production.
  • Supervise the Shipping and Receiving Cell, ensuring smooth operations and team performance.
  • Conduct accurate inventory counts and collaborate with Finance and Manufacturing teams.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure timely, quality deliveries.
  • Analyze customer and supplier demand, inventory status, and manufacturing variances.
  • Develop and track KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
  • Support supplier development and implement Lean and 5S initiatives.
  • Train ERP users and resolve system errors.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement long-term solutions.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory in collaboration with purchasing and finance.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping documentation standards and trade regulations.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing, including leadership experience.
  • Strong inventory management skills: ERP experience (Syteline or IFS) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid communication skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and balancing Union/Non-Union priorities within CBA requirements.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing is an asset.

About the Role:
Vitacore is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Coordinator to join our fulfillment team. This role plays a key part in ensuring that materials and products move accurately, efficiently, and on time across all Vitacore operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global shipping and logistics, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset. You will work closely with project managers, buyers, engineers, and customers to coordinate shipments, manage warehouse operations, and support internal logistics functions.

This is a non-supervisory, cross-functional position that requires both independence and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

Logistics Coordination:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all inbound and outbound shipments (domestic and international) for projects, including PO/WO parts and vendor onboarding.
  • Negotiate freight rates, prepare competitive bids (RFPs), and maintain relationships with carriers and logistics providers.
  • Prepare and maintain shipment documentation (bills of lading, customs paperwork, HS codes) and ensure compliance with Incoterms 2020 and regulatory requirements.
  • Track and trace shipments, monitor delivery status, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Review freight invoices, create freight POs, and assist with freight spend analysis.

Shipping & Receiving Operations:

  • Inspect, verify, receive, and record incoming goods, updating internal spreadsheets and systems.
  • Prepare, pack, and label outgoing shipments according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Load and unload trucks, arrange pickups, and organize goods for distribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and replenish stock as needed.

Warehouse & Fulfillment:

  • Organize warehouse and yard areas, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Assist customers and internal teams with order inquiries and logistics information.
  • Operate warehouse equipment including Raymond Reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, and other material-handling machinery.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in global shipping/logistics (ocean, air, courier); 5+ years in shipping & receiving preferred.
  • Strong understanding of customs processes, HS codes, country of origin, Incoterms 2020, and hazardous goods transport.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and ERP systems; Power BI experience is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel to other sites in Canada and flexibility to assist across multiple business functions.

Position Summary

The Logistics & Shipping Coordinator is part-time, and responsible for the accurate and timely shipping and receiving of goods and materials. This role ensures parts and materials are properly packaged, documented, and tracked to support production and customer satisfaction. In addition to traditional shipping/receiving responsibilities, this position supports inventory control, shop organization, facility maintenance, administrative duties, and the generation of purchase orders for outside processing vendors to ensure full-time engagement and cross-functional support.

Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Shipping (Core)
  • Package and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer and internal requirements
  • Generate and maintain accurate shipping documentation (BOLs, customs docs, packing slips, waybills, etc.)
  • Receive incoming goods, verify against packing slips, and inspect for damage
  • Log in ERP and label incoming materials; ensure traceability documentation is captured
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries with couriers and freight companies

Inventory & Material Handling
  • Perform regular cycle counts and support inventory reconciliations
  • Kit work orders with materials and tooling; deliver kits to production
  • Move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods throughout the facility
  • Maintain accurate inventory location records in ERP
  • Organize and maintain storage areas for raw material and consumables
  • Prepare raw material for outside processing (e.g. heat-treatment) by cutting bars or stock on saw according to job requirements
Tool Crib & Consumables
  • Track usage and initiate restocking for cutting tools, shop supplies, and packaging materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool crib and storage areas
Shop Support & Facility Maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the shipping/receiving and storage areas
  • Support general shop housekeeping duties as needed (floor sweeping, garbage, etc.)
  • Conduct routine checks on safety equipment (eyewash stations, first aid kits, etc.)
  • Organize scrap materials by type for proper disposal or recycling
Quality & Documentation Support
  • Assist with basic receiving inspection for incoming materials (visual, dimensional, or cert check)
  • Scan and file shipping and receiving documentation to ensure full traceability
  • Support packaging of precision parts per special handling requirements (e.g., parts requiring individual packing and labelling)
Administrative Support
  • Enter received goods into ERP or inventory systems
  • Generate purchase orders for outside processing (e.g. passivation, plating, grinding) and coordinate vendor shipments
  • Follow up with outside processors on status of POs
  • Support documentation tasks related to PO receipts, vendor certs, and customer orders
  • Assist in light procurement tasks for recurring consumables and packaging supplies
Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a logistics / shipping role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong IT skills, and ability to quickly navigate shipping software (UPS, FedEx, Etc.)
  • Knowledge on generating customs documents
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

The role encompasses the day-to-day business operations while helping to budget and plan for its future through the use of data analysis and reporting on the cement market and sales performance. This role manages the transportation needs through Albany and Cement Cartage. The incumbent is expected to travel to local industry events, be involved in customer location visits, meetings at the Brookfield Cement Plant, as well as traveling to our operation located in Havelock, New Brunswick.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Maintain insights on trends, establish data matrices for analytical decisions, and build data dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
+ Ensure freight and transportation relationships and processes are effectively implemented and maintained, balancing cost, service, and customer satisfaction.
+ Develop, manage, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive team performance.
+ Participate in studies to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the division.
+ Calibrate optimal fleet size and renewal and track key expenditures for business planning and budgeting.
+ Promote a performance culture for superior customer service and timely, safe product delivery.
+ Work with finance and cement teams on monthly cost forecasts and monitoring tools.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
+ 2-5 years of Sales, Operational, Logistics, Distribution, or Business management experience.
+ Exceptional customer orientation with strong client relationship-building skills and market acumen.
+ Familiarity with road transportation, DoT regulations, and the geography of Atlantic Canada.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and a strong understanding of computer knowledge, with SAP or other ERP systems experience being a plus.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, make quick decisions, and solve problems.

**The Supply Chain Analyst** supports demand and supply activities across BD-Canada in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Transportation, and Field Service teams. This role is responsible for managing the demand plan (forecast) and supply for designated business segments, while actively participating in key processes such as Demand to Supply (DTS), Business to S&OP (BTS), and Source to Pay (STP) for inventory procurement.
This role operates in a dynamic, real-time environment where the Supply Chain Planner must respond swiftly and effectively to changes, ensuring timely execution of supply chain strategies. By applying continuous improvement principles, the planner meets performance objectives, aligns long-term demand planning with business growth expectations, and drives cost-to-serve efficiencies.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and/or work with components of the Integrated Business Process (IBP) process, which include consensus forecasting, financial planning and product life cycle management.
+ Work in a team environment to optimize the tools and processes that BD is developing in the supply chain.
+ Responsible for following, updating and creating shared Supply Chain related SOPs as needed within an evolving environment.
+ Provide recommendations for the development and implementation of supply chain network and master data changes, which can enhance service and reduce costs. Managing the supply chain will include analysis to make recommendations for changes to the network and sourcing. Act as a business partner to Marketing/Sales.
+ Accountable for maintaining optimal on hand inventory to meet required service levels, in addition to driving reduction of excess & obsolete inventories and providing solutions to decrease write-offs as well as inventory management towards reduction of overstock.
+ Participates in or leading cycle counts and annual inventory audits.
+ Responsible for ongoing analysis, maintenance, and upgrades of SAP/SCM (Supply Chain Management) supply planning.
+ Ensure the supply chain operates to meet the needs of all of BD's customers on a consistent basis. Key performance measures of this include forecast accuracy, backorder, on-time shipment, line fill and DIOH.
+ Regional representative to adopt and apply processes from Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) such as the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, the Sales and Execution Planning (S&OE) process towards operational excellence.
+ Understand the requirements of major internal and external customers and determine how BD's supply chain offering will align with the needs and requirements of assigned BD business units.
**Education and Experience required:**
+ University degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
+ 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, working within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or the medical device/pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and optimize supply chain designs.
+ Experience analyzing inventory levels, demand patterns, and supplier performance.
**Knowledge and Skills required:**
+ Able to recommend and implement sustainable supply chain solutions to drive operational excellence and performance improvements.
+ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, curious individual with strong analytical skills and ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
+ Proven process continuous improvement, solution oriented and project management skills highly desired.
+ Proficiency with MS Office tools Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and advanced knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
+ Experience working with an ERP (such as SAP, JDE, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains).
+ General knowledge of MRP planning systems or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
+ Strong communication, negotiation and learning skills; able to influence without authority and effectively interact with multiple functions, regions, and stakeholders.
**Preferred qualifications:**
+ APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP or equivalent)
+ Experience with SAP SCM(APO), and/or SAP BI
+ Proficiency with Power BI

**What are your contributions to the team?**
