A key requirement is experience and positive attitude to start a new program.The Assistant Site Director should be able to easily handle the day to day operations of the child care centre, be able to proactively handle any issues that may arise. The successful candidate should understand and be able to implement the requirements set out by the Ministry of Education and Public Health.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide staff with support and guidance in all areas of their classroom;
  • Control the day to day operations of the centre;
  • Assist in a classroom with an understanding of ratios and requirements;
  • Identify the needs of the classroom with regards to set up and materials;
  • Respond to emails in a timely and professional manner within 24 hours;

  • Assist staff in conducting parent/teacher interviews;

  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities through on-going education and attends professional development courses and workshops;
  • Ensure the program compliance with all Ministry and program’s standards. i.e. CCEYA, CCMA;

Qualification :

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator designation (Required)
  • At least 2 to 4 years of experience in a childcare environment teaching in a classroom.

  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Immunization up to date (including a 2 step TB test)

Director, Site Operations Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and control daily construction operations with direct leadership responsibilities for junior resources as assigned.
  • Fully understand the Master Contract and Subcontractor Contracts.
  • Develop and measure productivity on site to measure planned progress against actual.
  • Control site logistics, maximize efficiencies, minimize deficiencies of all work including all subcontractors, suppliers and employees.
  • Establish site for construction.
  • Maintain daily and ongoing reporting to track site progress.
  • Maintain a clean and organized site.
  • Execute the quality management program proactively to minimize deficiencies.
  • Approve timesheets.
  • Hold daily field level hazard assessments.
  • Hold weekly toolbox talks.
  • Conduct weekly subcontract progress meetings and hold everyone on site accountable to the Master Project Schedule.
  • Purchase, maintain, track and forecast materials.
  • Review all subcontractor submittals.
  • Support the development of commissioning and turn over plans.
  • Fix deficiencies in line with achieving total completion date.
  • Manage risk during the project by following the Risk Management Plan.
  • Communicate daily with the Project Manager and project team on the status of construction including any concerns or discrepancies that may require escalation.
  • Attend owner meetings throughout the project.
  • Manage, control, and record all permit requirements, third party inspections, commissioning, training and hand over.
  • Communicate with the office to manage administrative tasks.
  • Responsible to ensure all on site contractually required items are implemented and completed.
  • Champion health and safety and occupational practices and regulations.
  • Provide cost-effective solutions to construction issues and coordinate with the Project Manager.


Director, Site Operations Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or another relevant field preferred
  • Certification of First Aid/CPR, WHMIS
  • Possess valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong familiarity with contract administration, understanding drawings, specifications, architectural and engineering standards and building practices, including building codes
  • Full understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, including commissioning and handover
  • Excellent budgeting, costing, and scheduling skills
  • Solid understanding of construction industry practices, OBC, OHSA and WCB regulations and safety standards, OHS Certificate
  • Experience using MS Word, Outlook, MS Project, Electronic Document Management System, Bluebeam, and Plan Grid
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing all disciplines, internal employees, and external sub-trades
  • Ability to inspire trust in difficult situations by instilling confidence and engaging people on matters that affect them

Site Management

  • Ensures exchange of information and documentation with sites and vendors
  • Ensures order, receipt, inventory storage, distribution, return/recall and reconciliation of clinical supplies
  • Ensures regulatory and ethics committee submissions and notifications
  • Ensures proper administration of sites and vendors payments
  • Coordinates preparation for and follow-up on site, TMF and systems´ audits and inspections

  • Reviews and coordinates site-specific EDC completion and provides the site Monitor with regular updates on the completion status

Other Communication

  • Exchanges information and documentation with other departments

Safety Management

  • Updates CTMS with lacking project information
  • Assists the Monitors in their prompt completion of all subject event and site event information in CTMS
  • Assists the Monitors in their meeting deadlines for site visits, visit reports and visit letter dates information recording in CTMS
  • Tracks the resolution status of site issues and action items in CTMS

Vendor Management

  • Ensures that pre-study testing (dummy scans, MRI/CT qualification questionnaires, test ECGs, etc.) of local site facilities is completed
  • Tracks vendor-related supplies (lab kits, ECG electrodes, CDs for scans, etc.) on a site level

Other departmental assignments, as necessary

Qualifications

College or university degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that presents the required knowledge, skills and abilities is considered sufficient. 

Minimum 2 year experience within the clinical research industry, corporate or academic environment where administrative experience and technical skills have been gained.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Word.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Outlook.

**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Senior Director Site Lead will manage and direct all facets of the work site located at our Bedford, NS office. They will be responsible for multiple functions including some or all of the following: manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, program management and local staff functions such as program finance, human resources and security.

Job Overview


As the Art Director, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the visual narrative for our exciting animation projects. Your role involves providing creative leadership, strategic planning, and overseeing a talented design team to bring our stories to life.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide creative direction and leadership to the design team, ensuring the visual style aligns with the overall project goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as storyboarding, animation, and production, to ensure a cohesive and unified visual narrative.
  • Work closely with producers and project managers to define the artistic vision for each animation project.
  • Develop and communicate design strategies that align with project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Lead and mentor a team of talented designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Develop and communicate the artistic vision through concept art, storyboards, and other visual aids.
  • Oversee the creation of character designs, background art, and visual elements that enhance the overall storytelling.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency in all visual elements, ensuring they meet or exceed industry benchmarks.
  • Conduct regular reviews of design work to provide constructive feedback and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in animation and design to ensure the studio remains at the forefront of innovation.
  • Integrate new techniques and styles into projects when appropriate.
  • Ability to work closely with and communicate effectively with artists from every department in the studio to ensure all visual guidelines are executed correctly.
  • Works proactively with production to produce high-quality results within the appropriate budget and time frame.
  • Ability to mentor artists from various disciplines to help foster the overall artistic growth of the studio.
  • Work effectively to solve design problems in a hands-on capacity.
  • Works effectively and in a flexible manner with time constraints to accommodate important project deliveries and is accountable for the overall quality of the final product.
  • Be a leader in dailies sessions and communicate your visual clearly and concisely


Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Art Director in the animation industry.
  • Possess an expert-level understanding of art fundamentals.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage a demanding and complex daily schedule.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and politely with clients.
  • Adaptable to quick changes and limitations.
  • Must be fluent in Photoshop and have a rudimentary understanding of Maya, Nuke, Premiere, and various Effects and Surfacing software platforms.
  • Ability to work all the way through the pipeline from initial sketches to our final color deliveries.
  • Have a clear understanding of our pipeline and production schedule and work within those parameters.

The wage range for this role reflects compensation across all of ICONs projects. The final salary will be determined based on the specific position, the current show assignment, and the applicants experience and portfolio. This range accounts for varying levels of experience and responsibilities.
