We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities through effective maintenance practices. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Manage maintenance projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
• Supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controllers (PLC) and other automated systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field, with a focus on industrial environments.

The Maintenance/General Building Supervisor
reporting to the Regional Manager, is responsible for maintenance and supervision of all self-storage properties within the assigned Region. This includes general repairs, clean up, supporting clients/site staff as required, and ensuring the efficiency of the retail division of the company. Goals and purposes include prioritizing work, completing repairs efficiently, and maintaining a positive relationship with clients and co-workers

General repairs and clean up may include: roll-up door repairs, latch repairs, caulking, weatherproofing, minor roof repairs, basic concrete work, basic metal work, basic fence/gate repair, lighting, basic electrical troubleshooting, basic carpentry, landscaping, snow removal, grading, garbage disposal, and general renovation/restoration. Front line support for property-related tasks, as directed.

Responsibilities: Under the leadership of the Executive Director, the Building and Maintenance Supervisor will actively contribute to the organization's mission and strategic objectives through the following responsibilities:

• Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and schedules for equipment, repairs, and inspections.
• Work Order Management: Create, prioritize, and track work orders to ensure timely and high-quality task completion.
• Facilities Upkeep: Oversee daily operations including cleaning, snow removal, lighting, and small repairs across the facility.
• Repairs and Inspections: Perform regular inspections and conduct minor repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and contractors, request quotes, supervise third-party work, and ensure service quality.
• Procurement & Inventory: Manage inventory and purchase tools, supplies, and materials within budgetary constraints.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and ensure alignment with CCOHS standards and building safety codes.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, inspections, and costs; provide regular reports to the Executive Director and Finance Director.

· Proficiency with hand/power tools and familiarity with minor renovations and repairs.

· Experience with cleaning products and equipment.

· First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

· Physical ability to perform indoor/outdoor maintenance tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

· Ability to pass a criminal background check.

· Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends to respond to urgent maintenance needs.

Wages and Benefits:

· Start Date: June 2025

· Permanent full-time position: up to 35 hours a week, in person.

· Salary range: $21–$3/hour, based on experience and in accordance with current salary policy
