Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.
SUMMARY
A Labourer is involved in a variety of job scopes assisting ticketed tradesmen. This work may exist indoors or outdoors and may be physically demanding.
Location: CNRL - Fort McMurray, AB
Accommodation : Camp available
Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB
Hourly Rate: $32.74 (Exclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)
Night Shift Premium: $3.00/hr
JOB DUTIES
- Comply with PSC and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Assisting tradesmen in completing daily duties
- Sorting and selecting tools, as requested by journeymen
- Acting as fire/spark watch for welders
- Load and unload materials as required
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working on an industrial site is considered an asset, but not required
- CSTS-09, CSO, or BSO
- OSSA Fire Watch is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
- Able to work well in a team environment

Qualifications- Minimum of 6000 hours of experience operating a 250+ excavator, coupled with at least 2000 hours on either a 785+ haul truck or D8+ dozer.
- Demonstrated experience in open pit mining, with a minimum of 2000 hours.
- Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:
- CSO or BSO (Common Safety Orientation from Energy Safety Canada or OSSA Basic Safety Orientation)
- Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
- Able to train on new equipment when requested.
- Able to provide a clean 3-year drivers abstract with under 9 demerits.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
Additional Information
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
