**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Qualifications**
+ 1-3 years of experience in social media content creation (brand, freelance, or personal)
+ Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
+ Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Comfortable engaging with online audiences
+ Comfortable directing talent and interviewing guests
+ Portfolio or social media presence showcasing creative work
+ Experience with professional photography, videography and audio equipment (e.g. Cannon Powershot, DSLR camera or vlogging camera or action cameras)
**Preferred Skills**
+ Degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field
+ Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and social media scheduling tools
+ Familiarity with content performance metrics and analytics platforms

We’re looking for a creative, savvy student who is familiar with TikTok and Instagram, knows how to film engaging videos, and isn’t shy in front of or behind the camera. This is a summer job position.
What You’ll Do:
Create original video content (mostly short-form for TikTok/IG Reels)
Film & edit videos using your phone or any camera you're comfortable with
Work with our team (and sometimes customers!) to shoot natural, fun, educational content
Help write basic scripts and creative ideas for skits, promos, and behind-the-scenes videos
Keep things on-trend , energetic, and aligned with the brand (fun, friendly, helpful)
Post content regularly and help us stay consistent
Occasionally visit project sites to capture content (transportation covered if needed
You’re Perfect If You:
Are a student with valid status (summer availability required) (requires Citizen and/or Permanent Residency in Canada)

This position plays a pivotal role in shaping our digital and visual storytelling, executing campaign strategies, and producing marketing collateral that aligns with our premium salon experience.
Role Overview
As a member of the Tress Lounge marketing team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of digital content strategies, creative direction, and visual brand assets that support customer engagement and business growth. This hybrid role combines expertise in social media content creation with professional-level graphic design, with emphasis on branding, visual merchandising, and digital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) with daily posting and content calendar planning
- Design high-quality graphics for print and digital use (e.g., salon menus, ads, loyalty cards, window visuals, membership brochures)
- Create short-form video content (Reels, Stories, branded clips) using tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Premiere
- Design and maintain visual brand identity including typography, logos, and color palettes
- Develop digital ads (Instagram/Facebook/Google), packaging mockups, and in-store POS materials
- Collaborate on campaigns, photoshoots, and influencer marketing activities

Required Qualifications
