Do you have a passion for sports and want the opportunity to play for vulnerable youth? If so, then the Ehrlo Sport Venture Community Recreation Support Worker (CRSW) position may be the perfect fit for you as t he Ehrlo Sport Venture Program is seeking to fill a Part time term CRSW position.
A Community Recreation Support Worker (CRSW) works within our community-based sports leagues and equipment lending library. The CRSW will work in the community to assist a variety of sports programs targeted at removing barriers between youth and participation in sport and recreation opportunities. The CRSW, with support from the Sport Venture Manager, will support the implementation of structured leagues, community events, and family day camps during summer months. The CRSW will assist with the operation of Ehrlo Sport Venture Equipment Library, including equipment lending, inventory control and equipment repair. As a member of a small working team, you will be paired with community volunteers to ensure that leagues run effectively and meet the needs of the players and families. CRSW promote access to play and encourage places of safety where all kids can have fun! Qualifications Education and Professional Certification- Completion of a high school diploma.
- Have or working towards a degree in Kinesiology, Social Work, Education, or Youth Care worker all be considered.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of related to youth education, working with youth, special education, and/or group living, or youth care experience considered an asset.
- Experience working and implementing programming in the community.
- Staff must hold a class 5 novice 2 or higher driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under our commercial auto insurance policy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form genuine relationships.
- Ability to lead through motivation, role-modelling, and support.
- Outgoing personality with interests that can be used to engage participants (i.e., outdoors, arts, sports, etc.).

- Plan and develop sport practice plans.
- Discuss progress or concerns of participants with parents, professionals, and other staff members.
- Adapt programming to meet the needs and abilities of the participants in the program.
- Teach positive social interactions through mentoring and role-modelling.
- Document all incidents and updates such as activities, progress, critical incidents, and any other participant updates.
- Complete reports and documentation clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Display positive role modelling, agency values, and fairness.
- Collaborate with and communicate to the multidisciplinary team when required.
- Maintain, promote, and reinforce safe work habits, practices, and procedures.
- Adhere to written or verbal agency and government regulations, policies, practices, and instructions.

Responsibilities : Provide behavioural profiling and evidence-based career counselling to clients seeking career changes, advancement, or work-life balance.
- Integrate psychometric assessments (e.g., MBTI®, Strong Interest Inventory®, and Work Personality Index) to help clients identify their strengths and career preferences.
- Offer individualized strategies to support clients in setting goals, enhancing professional growth, and navigating job searches.
- Work with clients to improve workplace well-being and address issues like burnout, job dissatisfaction, or work-related stress.
- Provide receipts that are accepted by insurance providers, ensuring reimbursement for clients.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Licensing (Required): Must be licensed to practice in Canada (within any province) and able to provide insurance receipts for client reimbursement. Acceptable licenses include:
