Job Description:
As a CDL A Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting liquid bulk materials safely and efficiently, ensuring timely and secure deliveries based on your preferred driving route—Local, Regional, or Over the Road
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid bulk materials to and from customer locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload tanker trucks using hoses or pumps while following all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements to contribute to the overall success of the operation.
- 24/7 Operation – Willingness to be available 24/7 when needed.
- Flexible time off based on scheduling and operational needs.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
- At least 23 years of age.
- Compliance with all DOT requirements.
- A clean driving record demonstrating a commitment to safety and excellence.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading tanker trucks.

- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Load and unload materials

- Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
- Match shipments to sales invoices
- Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
- Operate truck safely
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Qualifications
- Class 1 CDL with clean driver’s abstract li>22 tons and under crane certification required

- Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
- Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting up to 100 lbs

Your Role: Delivery Truck Driver reporting to our Logistics Manager
What You Bring:
- Safely and efficiently operate company-owned trucks to transport goods between suppliers, Tech-Wood locations, and designated destinations.
- Load and unload materials from the truck using appropriate equipment and securing loads to prevent damage during transportation.
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring that all safety and maintenance standards are met.
- Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of driving activities, including hours of service, vehicle inspections, and cargo records.
- Communicate effectively with the Logistics department to coordinate delivery schedules and update on any delays or issues.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries: fill out hazard assessments for each job site and obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups, acting as a representative of the company.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Follow Health and Safety and Quality policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- May be assigned to do, fill, or help with another task as requested by the Logistics Manager if cross-trained.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license (will require a drivers abstract).
- Minimum three years of experience as a professional truck driver.
- Experience operating a 5-ton truck.
- Crane operation experience is required.
- A forklift ticket is an asset.

A Day in the life of a Delivery Specialist:
- Build superior customer sales experiences by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email
