What You Will Be Doing
As the Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA, you will:
Lead our migration from on-prem SQL Server to AWS RDS (SQL Server), including schema design, data transformation, performance tuning, and testing.
Establish and maintain best practices for database architecture, backup/restore, HA/DR, security, and compliance in AWS.
Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and performance metrics across production and staging environments.
Collaborate closely with our cloud management partner to scale bandwidth, orchestrate deployments, and audit configurations.
Own all aspects of database lifecycle management including schema changes, upgrades, and capacity planning.
Optimize queries and indexes to support scalable real-time transactions, analytics, and reporting.
Partner with development, product, and infrastructure leads to support application performance, data integrity, and developer velocity.
Design and manage access controls, auditing, and data governance policies.
Act as the internal go-to for all things SQL Server—including mentorship, technical guidance, and root cause analysis.

Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data integrity and consistency in mission-critical systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
