What You Will Be Doing
As the Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA, you will:
Lead our migration from on-prem SQL Server to AWS RDS (SQL Server), including schema design, data transformation, performance tuning, and testing.
Establish and maintain best practices for database architecture, backup/restore, HA/DR, security, and compliance in AWS.
Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and performance metrics across production and staging environments.
Collaborate closely with our cloud management partner to scale bandwidth, orchestrate deployments, and audit configurations.
Own all aspects of database lifecycle management including schema changes, upgrades, and capacity planning.
Optimize queries and indexes to support scalable real-time transactions, analytics, and reporting.
Partner with development, product, and infrastructure leads to support application performance, data integrity, and developer velocity.
Design and manage access controls, auditing, and data governance policies.
Act as the internal go-to for all things SQL Server—including mentorship, technical guidance, and root cause analysis.
Contribute to our culture by mentoring, documenting best practices, and leading by example.
What We’re Looking For
MS SQL Server (on-prem and RDS): Expert-level knowledge.

**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead and optimize Azure SQL Managed Instance and SQL Server databases to ensure high performance and availability.
+ Lead database migration projects and upgrades to minimize downtime and disruption.
+ Experience in trouble shooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
+ Ability to detect and trouble shoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
+ Provide technical support and trouble shooting for database-related issues.

Interfor has posted the following expected salary range that the company
believes in good faith could be offered to successful candidates. The salary
offered is benchmarked to current market conditions and will also be based on
