The full team comprises a diverse range of talent that allows us to offer the full spectrum of big picture process design to niche level materials handling.   Senior Project Engineer - FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE MANDATORY Bringing a minimum of 5 - 10 years of FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY Project Engineering experience to manage and drive multiple projects in a food manufacturing setting. The Project Engineer must be familiar with and follow best practice Project Management methodologies. Recommend, manage, and implement efforts to streamline the organization's processes and establish best practices. Using his/her ability to organize and lead meetings (plan, facilitate, document, follow up) to accomplish objectives. Requirements: ** Lead major project initiatives in the food industry. The responsibilities would include identifying all equipment capabilities, utility & infrastructure requirements and developing Process Flow Diagrams and layout concepts. ** Lead Installation activities at client sites to ensure proper installation of all intended project designs. Manage contractors and enforce client safety measures. ** Support site start-up team and troubleshoot issues when they arise. Our team is expanding and looking to hire a Sr. Maintenance Engineer. We are looking for a dynamic and driven candidate interested in joining a fast-growing global company in the automotive sector.

The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all plant equipment and systems. This role involves leading maintenance strategies, overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and mentoring junior maintenance staff. The engineer plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives and supports capital projects. Other duties include:

• Equipment Maintenance and Fault Management
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans (PM) for critical equipment, including die-casting machines, CNC machining centers, and robotic welding lines, to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR). Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for complex equipment failures and implement failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) to reduce repetitive downtime incidents.
• Equipment Optimization and Automation
  • Oversee equipment upgrade initiatives, such as transitioning legacy hydraulic presses to servo-driven systems, to enhance energy efficiency and production performance. Collaborate with the automation team to integrate robotic and vision inspection systems, thereby advancing the realization of "unmanned workshops."
• Introduction and Standardization of New Technologies
  • Assess and introduce cutting-edge technologies within the industry, such as high-pressure die-casting islands and laser cleaning systems, while preparing comprehensive technical feasibility reports. Develop standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for global equipment operation and maintenance and provide training to local teams.
• Cost and Supplier Management
  • Manage the equipment maintenance budget effectively and optimize spare parts inventory through ABC classification methodology. Engage in technical negotiations for equipment procurement and evaluate supplier proposals from leading vendors such as Fanuc and ABB.
• Cross-departmental Collaboration
  • Support equipment selection processes for new projects by aligning with product process requirements. Work closely with the quality assurance department to address and resolve customer complaints related to equipment performance.

To be a qualified candidate, you must meet the following :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical automation, mechatronics, or related fields
• More than eight years of professional experience, including involvement in cross-border projects (e.g., equipment coordination across factories in China, the United States, and Europe) or comprehensive line renovations.
• Proficient in PLC debugging (Siemens/Mitsubishi), CNC system configuration, and foundational knowledge of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Hardware Design team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in electrical design, with a strong focus on innovation, quality and project management. Your role will involve:

• Leading the design & development of electrical control panels and automated control systems.

• Participating in regular internal & external meetings to determine project scope, requirements,

deliverables, costing and schedules.

• Developing the equipment motor lists (e.g. room designation, loading, single line diagrams, VFD sizing, detailed electrical calculations, etc.) and device lists in collaboration with mechanical team.

Maskwa High Voltage (MHV) is an engineering consulting firm with offices in Calgary and Regina that provides design and engineering services to the electric power delivery industry. Our expertise includes all aspects of Transmission, Substation and Distribution systems for voltages ranging from 4160V to 500kV.

MHV is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Calgary to support the substation layouts design group. We offer a dynamic work environment with a highly experienced technical team, where you will be offered guidance and hands on training and continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering cost estimates.
• Select and write major equipment specifications for substation electrical equipment such as Power Transformers, Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), circuit breakers, CT’s, CVT’s etc.
• Interface with vendors, review and evaluate vendor bids, conduct technical evaluations and make recommendations.
• Attend factory acceptance testing (FAT) for major equipment
• Prepare Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) and Engineering Design Specification (EDS) documents.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven track record in physical layout design of high voltage facilities.
• Minimum 10 years’ work experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a wide spectrum of clients.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering and registered as an active member with APEGA.
• Experience in the utility industry

Preferred:

• 10-12 years' experience working in utility substations
• Previous experience leading a design team and mentoring junior engineers
