**Work Environment**
You will be working in a hangar environment in Calgary Alberta, focusing on heavy maintenance checks alongside a dedicated team of AMEs. The role requires flexibility for line maintenance as our facility operates 24-hour shifts. Shifts are scheduled on a 5/5/4 rotation, with hours from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and occasional overtime ranging from 5 to 10 hours per week.

In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the design of routine and complex transportation structures, such as new underground transit stations, bridges and culverts, retaining walls, , other transportation structures such as high mast pole and overhead sign supports, and the rehabilitation design of existing structures.

The qualifications you need:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural with 1-2 years of experience.
- Co-op experience working in a professional Engineering environment, completing design or construction inspection of transportation structures (such as tunnels, transit structures, bridges, culverts, etc.) is an asset.
- Good knowledge of industry-relevant structural analysis and drafting software (SAP2000, Midas Civil, AutoCAD, MicroStation, MathCAD, etc.) is an asset.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA S6), Canadian Code for Design of Concrete (CSA A23) and Steel (CSA S16) Structures, Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario ProvincialStandards and Specifications (OPSS), and MTO manuals and guidelines related to structures (such as the MTO Structural Manual and MTO Structure Rehabilitation Manual).
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to complete multiple project tasks and meet tight project deadlines when required.

What do you need to succeed?

- Experience managing structural design of complex transit projects, preferably for light rail transit, tunneling, underground stations, storage and maintenance facilities, operating system, and related works.
- Achieved or preferably working towards professional engineering status in the Province of Ontario.
- Knowledgeable in the appropriate building codes, and experience working in structural design of concrete and steel projects.
- Experience executing structural engineering designs and activities related to transportation structures such as maintenance facilities and below ground transit stations.
- Strong project management capability with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.

Join the Heli-One Canada team as an experienced Structures AME (S or ACA rated) Engineer ( AVN or Transport Canada Licensed) at our Petawawa, ON location !
You will be responsible for the repair/modification of aircraft components. You will also position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures. Preference will be given to AME’s that have CH-146 or Bell 412 experience. Successful candidates must be able to function well in a team environment.

- Fabriquer des structures de bois en ossature légère.
- Assembler des piles de bois.
- Répondre aux exigences de l’entreprise tant sur la productivité, la qualité et les échéanciers.
- Prendre connaissance des bons de commande et lire des plans au besoin.
- Assurer l’efficacité et l’entretien de tes outils et de ton poste de travail.
- Promouvoir les valeurs de l’entreprise et maintenir un environnement de travail sécuritaire en tout temps.
- Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes à la demande du chef d’équipe ou du superviseur.
- Et surtout, aimer travailler en équipe et renforcir l’entraide auprès des collègues!
