**Job Description**
Join our team as a Production Associate, where you will be an integral part of the production line. This role involves either loading empty bottles or unloading finished goods ready for shipment. The position is straightforward and requires basic training, with an emphasis on detailed documentation. Depending on your placement on the line, you will either be responsible for loading materials or packaging finished products. This is a physically active role requiring standing and moving throughout the shift, adhering to GMP procedures and appropriate gowning.
**Responsibilities**
Operate as either first loader or final unloader on the production line.
Place empty materials into the production line or bulk finished goods into boxes.
Stand and maneuver around the production floor throughout the shift.
Follow GMP procedures and gown appropriately for the production environment.
Document production processes meticulously in English for medical record purposes.
**Essential Skills**
At least 6 months of experience working on a manufacturing floor.
Knowledge or experience with GMP or similar procedures.
Ability to lift, move, and bend throughout a 12-hour shift.
Proficiency in detailed documentation and communication in English.

Key Responsibilities

Parts and Material Transportation

• Transport automotive parts, tools, and materials between production areas and storage areas.

• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to support production schedules and minimize downtime.

Material Handling and Equipment Use

• Load and unload materials onto vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

Inventory and Documentation

• Verify part counts, labels, and quality during pick-up and delivery.

• Maintain accurate records of parts and materials movement in tracking systems.

Communication and Coordination

• Collaborate with production teams, warehouse staff, and supervisors to prioritize tasks.

• Respond to urgent requests for parts and materials delivery as required.

Support Production Goals

• Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas to ensure easy access to materials.

• Provide general support to production and logistics teams as needed, including overtime shifts.

• Support the Last Mile department in getting vehicles ready for delivery.

• When required, assist other departments such as Parts, Mechanics, Lot Attendants, Photography, and Detailing.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• License: Minimum of a G2 Driver's License (valid in Ontario).

• Driving Record: Clean driver's abstract with no major infractions.

• Set up, operate, and adjust machines

Ply Gem Canada is seeking a highly motivated individual with a safety mindset and commitment to growth to join our Production Team.

• As a valued member of our Production team, duties would include but not limited to assembling, fabricating, and inspecting windows and doors, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications while operating machinery and tools safely.
• You will review orders, prep materials using power tools, hand tools, saws/automated welders.
• You will assemble various parts of windows and doors, including frames, glass panel installation, hardware (hinges, locks, handles), and seals, sealed unit glazing, screen fit, assembly, packaging, and other various tasks. 
• You will operate machinery and tools, such as saws, pneumatic drills, to fabricate and assemble components. 
• You will inspect finished products for defects. You may also be involved in preparing products for shipment by labeling, packing, and loading.
• You will be required to keep your workstation and surrounding area clean and organized which is essential for safety and efficiency. 
• You will be required to follow direction of leadership and continuously verify quality through measurement.
• You will adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). 

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• Previous experience with general labour/construction/manufacturing is an asset (6 months-1 year preferred).
• Willing to train, but must have a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to commit to our team.
• Basic proficiency in English – ability to understand and communicate in everyday situations.
• Extensive standing, constant heavy lifting required - 50-70lbs.
• Experience using power tools/hand tools 
• Proven ability to read a tape measure with accuracy and precision is required
• Proven ability in basic math calculations will be required for this position (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
• Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada and 18-yrs of age or older.
