What You Would Do in This Role

The Network Administrator leverages specialized expertise to manage complex IT systems and network infrastructures, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable operations.   • Network Architecture Design: Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable network architectures for LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
  • Advanced System Management: Oversee and maintain complex networking equipment and software to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.
  • Security Administration: Manage network security, including configuring Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs, to protect company data and systems.
  • Protocol Configuration: Configure and manage advanced networking protocols such as VLANs, Stacking, LACP, STP, BGP, QoS, VRRP, TCP/IP, and DHCP.
  • WAN Management: Manage corporate-wide networks with a mix of WAN links (MPLS, VPLS, SD-WAN, PTP, etc.).
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor networks using tools like Zabbix, Wireshark, and SolarWinds; quickly diagnose and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

Requirements  
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5–8 years in system administration roles, with expertise in complex IT and network environments.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), virtualization technologies, and network infrastructure.
  • Networking Expertise: Proficiency in configuring Cisco / HP routers & switches, Cisco Meraki devices, and advanced networking protocols.
  • Security Knowledge: Experience managing network security, including Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs.
  • Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with network monitoring tools like Zabbix, Wireshark, and SolarWinds.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members effectively.

- Manage and develop the IT network, including telecommunications equipment, servers, and the IT infrastructure.
- Plan and supervise network implementations, migrations, and consolidations, ensuring equipment availability, functional configuration, and overall security.
- Recommend ways to optimize the reliability of the server fleet and reduce operating costs.
- Dedicate a significant portion of activities to identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Apply best practices to foster synergy between development, operations, and security teams.
- Implement DevSecOps approaches to improve the quality of deployed products, particularly through automation processes.
- Install, update, and maintain IT equipment.

- Master cybersecurity concepts and best practices, including NIST, CIS, and ISO 27000 standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Master the Microsoft/Azure ecosystem: Active Directory, GPO, DNS, WINS, SCCM, Intune.
- Have networking expertise: LAN, WAN, VLAN, DMZ, ZTNA.
- Have a good understanding of virtualized system administration with VMWare vSphere.
- Be familiar with relational databases such as MS-SQL and MariaDB.
- Understand enterprise wireless networks (WiFi) and their security mechanisms.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and BAT scripts (asset).
