About the Role

The Bid System Engineering Specialist operates as the technical authority within the bid lifecycle, ensuring that the proposed system architectures align with client specifications, regulatory constraints and internal product line capabilities. This role acts as the principal interface between solution design, bid management, and engineering governance, ensuring end-to-end alignment from technical proposal to project handover.

**Position Responsibilities:**
As part of our team you would be contributing to community driven projects which is focused on removing road-blocks and empowering teams - developing solutions which accelerate cloud implementations, simplify adherence to security standards and promote best practices.
**Required Qualifications:**
The cloud is an ever-changing landscape of technologies - as such, we are not looking for a specific set of qualifications, but a successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong background in cloud automation (ideally aligned with an Infrastructure as Code mindset), and would likely be able to demonstrate most (if not all) of the following:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field.
+ Overall 5+ year experience in IT
+ 2-5+ years of experience architecting scalable distributed systems.
+ 2+ years of experience in Cloud (Public, Private and/or Hybrid)
+ A general understanding of cloud technologies, with hands on experience provisioning cloud infrastructure components (preferably PaaS components).
+ Experience with deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines and/or DevOps technologies (i.e. Jenkins Pipelines, Azure DevOps, Git Actions, etc.).
+ A desire to extend your understanding of cloud and the ability to learn through experimentation.
+ Experience with Infrastructure as Code and/or scripted infrastructure deployments (Terraform experience preferred).
+ Experience developing modern applications in at least one programming language (Java, Python, .Net, Go, Java script etc.)

**The Impact:** Joining our team in Canada, the candidate will be responsible for supporting and expanding our cloud infrastructure, monitoring and alerting frameworks, onboarding/migration projects, and interacting with the wider DevOps, QA, and development teams. Basic Qualifications:
