Job Description

  • Execute the project management and drive customer communications related to Vention’s turnkey projects.
  • Program automated cells and robotic applications using Python and Vention’s programming interface.
  • Install, configure, deploy and commission Vention’s turnkey projects at the client site, focusing on hardware integration and software integration.

Job summary 

The Associate Executive Director, Physician Leader Engagement & Health System Integration has responsibility for overseeing OMA Physician Leader Groups including Networks, Districts, Branch Societies, Sections, Fora and MIGs (i.e. physicians groups organized by geography, specialty and interest group) and leading a highly effective team that supports physicians and physician leaders across the province and in all specialty areas. This is a strategic role that has oversight of 18 FTEs composed of two teams: Section Engagement and Regional Management Teams. 
 

How you will make a difference  

Section Engagement: 

  • Lead the Section Engagement team to provide elevated support to sections (groups of physicians organized by specialty) focused on building and maintaining productive relationships and ensuring issues identification and resolution through the organization.   

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the member experience and communication about issues that matter most to members e.g. compensation-related matters.  

  • Identify section specific issues and work with other teams across the organization to develop system strategies to address and advocate for solutions.  

Regional Management: 

  • Lead the Regional Manager team (composed of senior field staff located around the province) to provide elevated support to physician leaders by region and strengthen the role of districts (regionally defined groups of physicians organized by geography).  

  • Build & maintain relationships with leaders across districts (e.g., local decision makers, Medical Staff Association Presidents, Chiefs of Staff, Health Care Advocates etc.) to develop a deep understanding of local and regional issues facing physicians, and work on solutions and advocacy through the OMA to address them. 

  • Raise the profile of district work done locally to broaden and strengthen member engagement. Develop quarterly reports on district activity to be used both internally and shared with the membership. 

Oversight of Networks:   

  • Provide strategic oversight of the Networks (groups of sections with similar interests and issues including surgical, medical, primary care, diagnostic, regional and academic) to create opportunities for engagement, including convening  physician leaders for consultation on relevant matters (e.g., compensation, health human resource challenges and other issues) and to ensure their issues are escalated through the OMA for resolution. 

  • Ensure networks are meeting on a regular cadence, issues discussed are effectively escalated, integrated and resolved by the organization. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Section Engagement & Regional Management teams, including line supervision and staff development. 

Operational Oversight:  

  • Budget planning and oversight 

  • Implementation of Finance Policy related to physician leader honoraria 
     

Requirements that are important to us 

  • Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience 

  • 10-15 years of proven experience in a similar senior role managing large teams of professionals (direct and indirect reports) 

  • Big-picture perspective and ability to think strategically, grasp trends and themes and develop solutions to address gaps  

  • Exceptionally strong leadership skills; proven ability to work in a cross functional organization; ability to form productive relationships 

  • Excellent problem solving and communications skills  

  • A champion for a strong working culture and performance management skills. 

  • Experience working with physicians an asset 

  • Understanding of the health sector an asset

  • Lead Physician Services Committee (PSC) OHT secretariat for the OHT bi-lateral by working cross-functionally and with government to develop strategic work plans, create opportunities to co-design solutions and build/maintain strong relationships with the Ministry of Health and Ontario Health.

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of member engagement strategies by working cross-functionally to ensure physician perspectives are incorporated in organizational initiatives.
  • In response to members’ concerns/issues, lead in strategically escalating issues and oversee the implementation of tangible steps to mitigate issues and/or implement solutions for members.
  • Oversee the development of strategic work plans for committees and other groups and lead in the execution of actionable items.
Influence government and stakeholders:
  • Develop and strengthen productive and influential working relationships with system leaders and stakeholders with the Ministry of Health and Ontario Health to advance OMA positions.
  • Lead and/or represent OMA positions at bi-lateral tables, committees and working groups to influence planning, development and implementation of key Ontario Health Team & Primary Care Network deliverables.
  • Support the development of OMA positions for the Primary Care Action Group to influence implementation of the PCAT mandate as it relates to PCNs and OHTs.
  • Align OMA priorities with provincial stakeholders such as Ministry of Health & Ontario Health to strengthen collaboration and partnership on relevant system issues to ensure members’ perspectives are embedded in system initiatives.
Team Leadership:
 
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Sr. Lead including line supervision and staff development.

Requirements that are important to us
 
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Health Administration and health care related project management experience an asset or combination of Bachelors degree and professional experiences
  • 6-9 years of proven experience in a similar senior role
  • Experience working in a professional association, in a hospital and/or community setting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills and proven record leading projects.
  • Ability to provide multi-disciplinary team members with clarity on project goals and pathways.
  • Strong listening and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to break down complex system problems into a sequence of manageable work packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive relations and work with a broad range of people.
  • Critical appraisal skills, able to see “big picture” and recognize implications on the broader health care system and how the physician perspective
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills and strong facilitation skills.
  • Proven experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, MS suite, etc.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, flexibility, and sensitivity in response to changing needs.

The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.

Role Overview
The Integration Specialist acts as a key liaison between clients, product managers, and the development team. You’ll ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients by guiding technical integrations, troubleshooting issues, and gathering enhancement requests. Post-launch, you’ll continue to support technical operations and contribute to the ongoing improvement of UniUni’s integration tools and services.

Requirements

  • Lead or support integration discussions with clients to define technical approaches, confirm timelines, and align on key workflows, including shipping label generation, tracking events, Proof of Delivery (POD), and settlement processes.
  • Guide clients through integration testing by validating test data, reviewing sample labels, and verifying other deliverables.
  • Capture client-specific customization requests and coordinate with the development team to implement them.
  • Own the integration timeline for each new client, ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Document product feedback and client requirements to support roadmap planning with the Product team.
  • Provide timely responses to inquiries from clients and internal teams via email, Teams, and other messaging tools.
  • Collaborate with Key Account and Development teams to promptly investigate and resolve integration issues (e.g., API errors, address parsing errors, incorrect postal codes, rate discrepancies, etc.).
  • Serve as the first line of technical support for integration-related questions from BD, KA, or client teams.
  • Support the Development team in identifying root causes, escalating when necessary, and ensuring resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with API integration and web technologies (RESTful APIs, JSON, XML).
  • Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, or SaaS platforms is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; comfortable working with technical documentation and debugging.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused mindset with a strong bias for action.
