Job DescriptionThe Systems Integration Engineer will represent the interest of the owner/operator by providing all of the necessary expertise required for the definition, integration and validation of all rail sub-systems related to the City Works for the extension and the OMSF. The person will also manage the design-builder (DB) on all aspects pertaining to integration of rail sub-systems related to the extension and OMSF, and ensure the compliance of the project with client’s objectives and requirements.
As Integration Engineer:
- Implement the City Works Integration Management Plan.
- Coordinate the Interface Processes within the City Works.
- Establish the Interface matrix & ICDs for City Works.
- Support the weekly Integration Meetings & take actions accordingly.
- Ensure change management process is applied if/when required for all sub-systems.
- Ensure integration of all sub-systems in the OMSF is achieved: with civil engineering and with the existing line.
As part of the Owner’s Engineer team:
- Support the owner/operator teams to elicit project requirements, identify technical risks and define the project scope.
- Support owner’s team for all system related issues or decisions.
- Collaborate with the project’s different teams and stakeholders to successfully mitigate issues and achieve smooth execution.
- Work with project management leaders to report project progress.
As part of the front-office:
- Respond to information requests from DB on behalf of the owner.
- Perform design reviews and monitor the DB to ensure adherence to standards, specifications, processes and best practices.
- Perform construction/installation audits of the DB to ensure progress in safely manner & in accordance with design specifications and contractual obligations;
- Provide technical assurance, recommendations and strategic advices to the owner
- Review and ensure the adequacy of Integration Management plans, Integration Register, as well as support oversight of the Interface Control Documents, Interface Matrix, and Interface Log and Interface Specifications.
- Oversee and review interfaces across different stages (Identification, Definition, Monitoring, and Validation) to ensure they're considered in detailed designs.
- Help improve other related disciplines like Requirements Management Plan, Test & Commissioning Management Plan, System Quality Assurance Plan, Configuration Management Plan, System Assurance Plan with focus on interface and integration.
- Participate actively in Interface Meetings.
- Regularly review and report on integration status and related issues.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer status with APEGA or possibility to obtain.
- Between 6-10 years of experience in Integration activities within Railway projects.
- Knowledge of railway systems such as fixed block signalling and overhead catenary system is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems
- Proven capability in managing design for a rail system, especially in multi-disciplinary environments.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining Interface Control Documents, Interface Matrix, Interface Specifications, and Interface Log/Register.
- Background in managing requirements related to integration and safety.
- Relevant experience in the design, specification and procurement of infrastructure, tram/metro design preferably.
- Good coordination, communication skills and solid soft skills.
- Strong management skills.
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team;
- Experience of supporting an organisation to build and grow successfully.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.

We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documenting integration plans, working with Production and PMO to capture customizations in builds and deployments and integrating various hardware and software components to ensure seamless functionality within complex systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure system components (hardware and software).
- Integrate and install JSI systems and products.
- Perform initial diagnostics and testing of hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and repair product issues encountered during builds and installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware (e.g., replace hard disks, power supplies, UPS batteries, printer maintenance).
- Troubleshoot and repair software (e.g., correct installation or configuration problems).
- Document and escalate technical issues (hardware, software, network, database) to the appropriate technical support.
- Understand and anticipate client needs, providing timely solutions to build and sustain positive client relationships.

Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years Server and Desktop PC technical support experience within a LAN/WAN environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot OEM hardware appliances.
- Understanding of relational databases (MS SQL Server is an asset), Backup Solutions, Web Servers, Web Application Servers.
- Understanding of networking and power and cooling requirements.
- Experience with documenting procedures.
- Experience with racking equipment and following cable management plans.
- VMware vSphere: Certified or familiar with Install, Configure, Manage V7 & V8
- Microsoft Server - MCSE Certified or comfortable with 2019/2022
- Microsoft Windows 10/11 - MCSA Certified preferred
- Linux System Administration Level 1 or better Certified
- Cisco CCNA certification preferred but familiar with Cisco switching and ASA’s at minimum
- Experience with Dell and Dell EMC Hardware – Optiplex, PowerEdge, ME4, Unity and Isilon storage solutions.

The successful candidate will work across the full engineering V-model and contribute to the design, integration, and testing of data acquisition systems, cockpit avionics, and mission-critical electrical subsystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of aircraft electrical systems from concept to production
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation: I/O definitions, schematics, interface control documents (ICDs), wiring diagrams
- Design and review custom PCB layouts and avionics harnessing
- Oversee component selection, BOM management, and procurement coordination
- Plan and conduct bench-level and on-aircraft testing, including functional verification, continuity checks, and system validation
- Collaborate with avionics, flight test, and systems teams for seamless integration into flight platforms
- Provide technical support during installation, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing phases
Preferred Experience
- Solid understanding of aircraft electrical systems, power distribution, and signal integrity

- Experience with LRU integration, signal routing, grounding/shielding practices, and EMI/EMC considerations
