**The Opportunity:**
**WSP** is currently seeking a **Systems Integration Specialist** to join our Rail and Transit team, at our Toronto office or Project office.
They will be responsible for and support the planning and execution of systems integration activities for a major urban rail extension project, involving the complex interface of new-build systems infrastructure with existing operational transit lines.
Reporting to the Manager/Director, you will work collaboratively with a team of Chief Engineers, Design Specialists, Project Managers, Analysts, and Third-Party Interfaces across rail & transit disciplines. This role is integral to ensuring that multi-disciplinary systems-including signaling, communications, traction power, SCADA, and control center infrastructure-are fully coordinated, verified, and integrated across the full engineering lifecycle. The candidate will contribute to key deliverables supporting a progressive design-build model with defined integration and verification milestones leading up to revenue service.
As a member of the Rail & Transit team, you will be given opportunities to use your transferable skills to define processes, create execution plans, and be the technical lead for some projects.

+ Perform functional analysis, create Systems Breakdown Structure, functional block diagrams, Systems Architecture and sequence diagrams
+ Embrace teamwork and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all Stakeholder and PA Support Rail & Transit to develop

+ Align design integration activities with project stage gates
+ Ensure Validation and Verification processes across interfacing systems are fully defined to ensure compliance, interoperability, and performance of integrated systems
+ Support verification of integrated design compliance against the relevant System Design, Integration, and Performance Requirements, as well as all applicable industry codes and standards, and client expectations
+ Interact with clients to discuss technical topics in a clear and professional manner. Facilitate resolution of customer expectations versus technical issues
+ Provide valuable leadership to junior staff and mentoring to develop their technical skills
+ Work with tight schedules, be flexible, control project budgets, and motivate junior staff
+ Plan and execute project work, based on an understanding of the project scope, schedule, and budget
+ Proposal and Project assignments may include Commuter, Subway, Light Rail, Heavy Rail, Transit Storage and Maintenance Facilitates, Transit Tunnels
**What you'll bring to WSP:**
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in a Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline from an accredited University
+ Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or P.Eng. License
+ INCOSE Certification such as ASEP or CSEP would be an asset
+ Minimum of 8 years of experience in transit or safety-critical industry or related engineering field
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering domain is preferred
+ Must have strong knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering process and principles
+ Previous experience in Systems Integration for complex Rail & Transit project is an asset
+ Proven ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams and across different business units
+ Experience in a Consulting Engineering environment is an asset
+ Proficiency in systems lifecycle management, including V-model, interface definition, and testing alignment
+ Strong familiarity with ISO/IEC 15288 and IEEE 1220 Systems Engineering standards

+ Understanding of the System Safety Certification processes and RAMS standards

Integration Systems Analyst

The Integration Systems Analyst (ISA) works within the Application Support Team to maintain, administer, and support OntarioMD products and services. The ISA also assists in supporting the onboarding of hospitals and clinics, as well as related applications, messaging systems, networks, and software.

Reporting to the Manager, Application Support, the Integration Systems Analyst:

  • Works in tandem with peers in the broader Operations and Support department to support stakeholders, systems, software and infrastructure.
  • Helps in troubleshooting HL7, FHIR, and XML messaging issues and Health Report Manager (HRM) applications.
  • Provides technical support for various applications including integration/messaging engines (e.g. Lyniate Rhapsody), sFTP server application, MS-SQL databases, syslog, monitoring and notifications tools.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure the completion of service requests, resolution of issue tickets, and ensure appropriate communications regarding system statuses and availability.
  • Supports various internal teams (e.g. Deployment, Product Management, QA) in the delivery of OntarioMD products including deployment of product code releases.
  • Develops documentation of business processes, system configurations (hardware and software) and creation of user guides.
  • Develops and maintains various technical and business reports on HRM operations, systems status, security incidents and access audits.
  • Monitors systems performance, reviews systems logs and prepares various operational reports and statistics using tools such as Azure Application Insights.
  • Helps in supporting Microsoft Windows servers (e.g. maintain, backup and update) and virtualized hosting environments (Azure, VMware).
  • Monitors incident trends and anticipates potential problems for proactive resolution.
  • Performs operations duties within the same domain as assigned by the Manager, Application Support.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours support, as outlined in OntarioMD’s internal On-call Policy.

Requirements that are important to us:

  • University degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two (2) years of Healthcare IT experience, specifically with HIS/RIS and/or EMRs, an asset.
  • Strong working experience and knowledge of HL7 and XML, experience with FHIR an asset.
  • Hands on working experience with integration tools and messaging protocols (e.g. MLLP).
  • Excellent client facing skills. Must be able to answer questions and talk physicians and stakeholders through issues in an articulate, effective and professional manner while meeting service level agreements.
  • Demonstrate team, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise documentation with attention to detail.
  • Strong network, O/S and application-level troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with personal health information (PHI) handling procedures.
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to changes in business landscape and working environments.
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Hands on working technical experience with Windows Server, MS-SQL, TCP/IP networking, sFTP servers, Azure (IaaS/PaaS) services, VMware, and related infrastructure.
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 products an asset.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and Kusto Query Language an asset.
  • An asset to have hands on working experience with Java, MS-SQL and IIS.
  • An asset to have hands on working experience administering and supporting LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, SAN/NAS, enterprise servers and services, and Azure-based computing environments.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated skills in taking active ownership of support cases and to exercise critical thinking.

+ Oversee Global Collaboration: Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the broader organization to secure leadership buy-in for technology initiatives and represent the organization on global governance bodies.
**Who You Are:**
+ Bachelor's Degree (Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences or related field is a plus); MBA or Graduate-level Degree is preferred
+ Substantial work experience within pharmaceutical or biotech industry (commercial or clinical) and/or management consulting
+ Deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, Data Analytics, Advanced Data Analytics, Patient Insights, Investigator Insights, Resourcing, Information Visualization and/or Data Science
+ Experience with various forecasting methods and techniques, able to merge data sets from disparate or incomplete sources and report findings in a variety of formats and mediums
+ Understands the advantages and limits of different analytical approaches and data sets
+ Working knowledge and experience in scripting, statistical & programming languages and analytical tools required, proficiency a plus (i.e. Python, R, SAS, Google/Adobe analytics, SQL, Matlab)
+ Experience with autonomous or semi-autonomous examination of data or content
+ Demonstrated use of sophisticated techniques, tools and languages, typically beyond those of traditional data analysis to discover deeper insights, make predictions, or generate recommendations

Role Summary

This individual will have at least one-two years experience on an IT support help desk to support a customer account in the healthcare sector. Microsoft experience is required, and certification is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and EPIC are highly desirable. Experience working in successful, high growth organizations will be a plus. The role is for a 24x7 NOC and will require onsite shift work and some flexibility in work hours.



Key Responsibilities

  • Help desk support.
  • Communicate easily with senior client IT personnel, front-line client IT personnel and coworkers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer support incidents within the SLA paying special attention to customer satisfaction.
  • Microsoft Windows server, and Active Directory support and administration.
  • Maintain customer support documentation.

Required Personal Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to develop rapport with clients and co-workers.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in an environment with changing priorities keeping customer service as the prime focus.
  • Ability to perform in a constantly changing and growing environment
  • Enjoys working in a busy environment and can demonstrate high level of creativity, attention to detail, and adaptability.

Technical Skills:
