Prerequisites

  • Knowledge of banking products, services and processes: wealth management, personal banking, commercial banking and/or financial markets
  • Knowledge of taxation, particularly Parts XVIII and XIX of the income Tax Act

About the Opportunity.
  • Manage the entire tax function of the firm including:

About You
  • Completed an undergraduate degree and CPA or CPA, CA or
  • Currently a Tax Manager with 3-5+ years of experience within a Public Accounting tax environment, ideally the tax department of a major accounting firm with no preference on industry; 
  • Completion of CPA In-depth tax course or graduated from the MTax program;
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian tax laws and IFRS tax accounting and reporting;
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax provisions and Canadian corporate tax returns;
  • Experience with tax compliance, filings and Quality Control;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
  • Team oriented, collaborative working style
