Your primary responsibilities will include designing high esthetic fixed restorations including implant supported restorations, crowns and veneers.
Dental CAD Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creating dental orders in 3Shape design software
- Digital model problem solving including file type conversions and occlusion optimization
- Designing single unit crowns as monolithic or with cutback for layering
- Designing veneers
- 3D smiles design for "digital wax up" to assist in case presentation and provisionalization
- Designing multi-unit cases on implant level and abutment level records
- Designing cases on natural tooth prep, tibases, and custom abutments
- Communicating with software technical support for troubleshooting and smooth continuous operation of the CAD software.
Dental CAD Technician Requirements:
- Dental implant experience is essential
- Dental CAD experience is essential
- 3Shape Design experience is preferred; advanced CAD experience in any platform will be considered
- Proficiency in keeping detailed records and meeting deadlines

MHV is currently seeking a Junior Draftsperson to join our team in Calgary to support each of the design groups. Responsibilities:
- CAD Drafting using both MicroStation & AutoCAD and associated software.
- Create 2D & 3D drawing packages for High Voltage Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Scada & Telecom projects using CAD software.
- Work interactively with both the Drafting & Engineering Teams from all disciplines.
- Use current CAD software as well as previous versions based on client specifications.
- Create scaled drawings with respect to annotation scale, model-space & paper-space.
- Import and convert vendor information, mapping, and survey data into usable CAD formats.
- Produce final product drawings from concept sketches.
- Check completed drawing packages for quality, consistency, accuracy, and compliance of client standards & specifications.
Qualifications
- CAD Certification or recent Graduate of a Drafting Technology Program from an accredited Institute.
- Working knowledge of CAD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)
- Technical Experience & General Drafting knowledge
- Basic computer knowledge in MS Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, Excel
- Ability to work well in both a team and individual environment.

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented BIM & CAD Technician to support our electrical engineering team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation for electrical systems, primarily using Revit and AutoCAD. This role will involve a strong focus on modelling electrical systems for commercial and institutional projects, including but not limited to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems. Working conditions are primarily in-office from 8:00am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work under the direction of the BIM Manager, Electrical Designers and Project Managers to develop construction document packages in Revit,
- 3D Modeling & Drafting: Create and modify detailed electrical models and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD for various building infrastructures such as commercial, mixed-use, residential, tenant improvements, transit and institutional building projects.
- Electrical Systems Design Support: Work closely with electrical engineers to develop Revit models and CAD drawings for power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems, etc.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other design professionals to ensure accurate integration of electrical systems within the building design when required.
- Documentation & Detailing: Prepare clear and accurate construction documents, including electrical plans, single-line diagrams, circuiting, panel schedules, and equipment schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs and drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Review work for consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
- Project Coordination: Assist with coordinating and preparing project deliverables, including submittals and revisions, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Modelling & Clash Detection: Conduct clash detection within the BIM model and address any conflicts between electrical systems and other disciplines.
- Drafting Standards & Procedures: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of drafting standards and practices within the company, ensuring consistency and efficiency in all project models and drawings.
- Other duties assigned as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience using Revit 2018 or a later version in a professional workplace and AutoCAD
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (minimum of two to five years of experience).
- Electrical Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical systems design principles, terminology, and construction practices, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems.
- BIM Experience: Familiarity with BIM processes and workflows, including model creation, coordination, and clash detection.

This role reports to both the Digital Design Lead, as well as project-based engineering & construction teams. A Junior CAD / Drafting Technician works with project teams to prepare engineering design and construction drawings, process survey information, create & develop 3D models, and output construction models for machine control files.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES***:**
- Opportunity to work on high-profile, large-scale energy projects of national importance, including oil & gas pipelines, net-zero energy projects & renewable energy projects.
- Use the latest Autodesk CAD software to prepare project design & construction 3D models and drawings.
- Create large earthworks & grading models for export into site equipment for machine control & calculation of material volumes.

Project schedules will typically follow 6 days on 1 day off shift, working 12 hours per day with a site based daily pay uplift. There will be a requirement to be site based when placed to work on a construction project. Project sites are usually based in areas throughout Alberta and British Columbia.
