**Summary:**
Prepare and revise master batch records (MBRs) for manufacturing and packaging and provides input, supports and assistances the Technical Operations, Pharmaceutics & Process Technology (PPT) and Operations groups.
Assist with maintaining up to date MBR templates and completes improvement projects related to technical writing.
**Essential Functions:**
Work closely with the Technical Operations, PPT Engineers and commercial departments in the generation and approval of work orders.
Work with internal teams addresses client comments
Generate and develop all master batch records used in Good Manufacturing Practices environment.
Work closely with Engineers, Business and Project Managers to understand requirements for each MBR.
Attend key project team meetings, client teleconferences and on-site visits.
Create change controls and attends CC committee meetings
Assist Technical Operations and PPT group as required.
May be required to assist with report generation from Systems, Applications and Products (SAP).
Update and maintain MBR templates to comply with current practices in Operations and PPT
Maintain a safe working environment and reports potential hazards.
Perform alternating or rotating shift work (as required)
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:**
College Diploma in Science/Technical related field.
**Experience:**
Minimum 3 years related experience.

Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented.

There may be exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights. Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator occasionally.

SUMMARY:

The Technical Designer's responsibility is to design requests for a wide range of customers, who may request both program sign products and/or custom sign products. The technical designer must prepare and design products according to the customer's needs, technical requirements and safety instructions for the fabrication and installation of signs, indoors and/or outdoors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce technical designs using Solidwork or AutoCAD;
  • Produce the documents for the components that must be manufactured using computer assistance (CNC);
  • Ensure accuracy of dimensions, and ease of use and understanding of technical designs;
  • Provides all necessary technical information necessary to manufacture the products without further clarification;
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing and estimating team to validate design drawings and confirm manufacturing methods;
  • Questions manufacturing methods by optimizing structural components while not compromising on safety;
  • Always seeking improved manufacturing methods to improve competitiveness;
  • Produce drawings according to standards, specifications, and engineering requirements of customers;
  • Problem solving with Subcontractors on methods of fabrication and/or installation;
  • Be able to work autonomously with little supervision to produce quality, drawings that are efficient and cost effective to build and maintain structural safety after installation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Formal training with design software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Corel, etc.);
  • Competency with Excel and Microsoft Office package;
  • Ability to work in both French and English;
  • Experience with designing products for manufacture in similar industry;
  • Mathematical skills;
  • Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others or independently;
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, problem solving and able to meet deadlines as required;
  • Ability to keep well informed of changes within the customer portfolio/systems;
  • Ability to recognize change is constant as it relates to daily business activities, resources, customer requirements and communication methods;
  • Problem Solving: Experienced Technical Designers will develop the ability to analyze and define a problem, evaluate alternatives, propose a solution to Colleagues.
  • Concentrate, understand, and ask thoughtful questions to ensure task instructions are consistently completed with minimal errors and timely.
  • Organization – attention to detail, ability to multitask, focus on deep work without being distracted, analytic skills, time management and collaboration.

Position Purpose/Summary:


The Technical Specialist is responsible for the following remote support: maintaining and troubleshooting workstations and end-user technical issues.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for customers and internal staff in resolving technical issues
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff ensuring an exceptional customer and co-worker experience
  • Demonstrate excellent self-management skills by managing loose-ends and task follow-through
  • Perform timely administration using concise technical writing techniques that provide the customer and internal staff with professional documentation

  • Break-fix
  • RMM deployment
  • Workstation in-house preparation
  • Ticket self-management and additional request follow-through
  • Exceptional administration, documentation and communications
  • Escalation for lower tiers
  • Exceptional work ethic to ensure problem has been resolved and client is fully satisfied
  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups with end-user and team members as required


Qualifications:

  • A University level Computer Science degree, or a College level Computer Systems Technology diploma, plus a minimum ofone (1) year field experience (Preferred)
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills required
  • Knowledge of the implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the following processes: VPN, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless, MS Server, SAN, MS Exchange, Terminal Services, MS Active Directory, virtualization, fault tolerance, disaster recovery and data backup
