Our Client in the Rail industry is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Telecommunications Engineer with proven experience in the design and implementation of telecommunications systems for complex infrastructure projects (e.g. railways, metros, smart cities), who is also familiar with BIM modelling tools to support multidisciplinary coordination and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specification of telecommunication systems (e.g. data networks, telephony, CCTV, access control, public address, signaling interfaces)
- Integration of telecom systems into 3D BIM models for coordination with civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines
- Participation in design reviews using BIM tools (e.g. clash detection, model navigation)
- Support the preparation of technical documentation and digital deliverables
- Collaborate with BIM coordinators and other engineering teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of telecom data in the models
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for licensing.
- Strong knowledge of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g., ISO 19650), and digital coordination practices.
- Knowledge of telecom systems (e.g., fiber optics, RF components, network layouts).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar
- Ability to read and interpret 3D models and integrate telecom components
- Clear Criminal Background check.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Common Data Environments (CDE)
- BIM certification (e.g. BIM Specialist) is a plus
- Experience in international or multidisciplinary projects
- BIM certification (e.g., BIM Specialist, BIM Coordinator).
- Exposure to digital twin technologies and data integration strategies.

Our Telecommunications group is currently looking to add Civil Labourers to our growing team, based in Castor, AB. This position operates on a 10-days-on, 4-days-off rotation.
Reporting to the Foreman, we are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Civil Labourers who have the ability to support a variety of job functions, the Labourer is responsible for day-to-day manual tasks on the project. Taking direction from a Journeyman or Foremen, the Labourer must demonstrate a sound work ethic to complete physical tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties such as sweeping, shoveling, assembling, and cleaning
- Assist with installation tasks including wire/cable installation, laying underground cable, assembling conduit, and setting precast concrete bases
- Sand cable using a shovel, move materials, and swamp for excavators
- Ensure appropriate tools are transported to the worksite, including proper functioning of all tools prior to utilization and that equipment and tools are safety stored
- Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe manner (including, but not limited to: skill saws, snow blowers, grinders etc.)
- Learn to read and interpret construction drawings for specific tasks given
- Able to effectively communicate and carry out tasks as provided done correctly and within provided timeline
- May operate skid-steer and other motorized construction equipment on-site
- Adhere to all company specific and industry specific safety regulations, ensuring highest standard of safety is upheld
- Participate in tailboard meetings, including identification of potential work site hazards
- Report potential hazards to Foremen or Journeymen promptly
- Complete daily time sheets, force-account records, pre-trip vehicle inspections and other paperwork as assigned
- Other duties as required by crew leads and assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract required; Q-endorsement or Class 1 license is considered an asset.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Proven knowledge of safety practices, procedures and requirements
- Must be able to perform physically demanding duties while working safely at all times
- Knowledge of safe operation of base hand and power tools

Reporting to the Foreman , we are seeking motivated and safety-conscious Operators with the ability to support a variety of job functions. The Civil Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in support of telecom infrastructure projects and may also be required to assist with labour-related tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong operating skills, reliability, and a solid understanding of safe work practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-operational checks, clean, lubricate equipment as necessary
- Participate in daily Safety Meetings and Hazard Assessments
- Participate in daily work planning
- Be aware of proper rigging equipment and procedures
- Have a sound understanding of the issues of ground disturbance
- Ensure all excavations meet OH&S requirements, i.e: valid locates, spoil pile location, etc.
- Work with and ground crew to ensure a safe and damage free work site
- Assist ground crew in labourer duties, as necessary
- Ensures all on-site construction is completed safely and in full accordance with plans, specifications
- Ensure that the work area is kept safe as well as procedures. Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Administering company standards, policies, procedures, and other regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
