The Role:
Medcan is expanding it's high energy Fitness team. We are currently recruiting for Personal Trainers to join our team. The role is primarily responsible for conducting Personal Training for Medcan Fitness clients. The role is well suited to someone with extensive fitness knowledge and exceptional client service and communication skills.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze and understand client needs and goals
- Design customized programs based on individual client needs
- Provide clients with the coaching and motivation to achieve their fitness goals
- Raise awareness and education of Medcan Fitness and other Medcan services
- Client communication and scheduling

What You'll Need:
- 2-3 years Fitness/Personal Training experience
- Degree in Kinesiology or related discipline
- Certifications and experience in Movement assessment, Program design, effective exercise prescription: mobility and progressing with load.
- Current CPR certification
- Client service experience, ideally in a high-end environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Intermediate level in MS Word and Outlook
The role reports to the Team Lead, Fitness and will be part of a team of 40+ members. The Personal Trainer is required to train a minimum of 25 training hours per week and a target goal of 5 hours per day once the appropriate client roster has been established. Medcan operates Monday through Sunday.
Personal trainers should be available to cover at least 2 of the 3 peak hours of operation listed below:
- Morning: 6:30am to 9:00am
- Evening: 4pm onwards
- Weekend: Saturday
