+ Applies adult learning methodologies to deliver instructor-led courses or programs.

+ Uses rapid authoring tools to develop e-learning to support instructor-led courses or programs.
+ Develops standards and evaluates courses or programs, and implements revisions to improve quality.
+ Provides company-wide support and consultation services on all matters related to learning and development initiatives at PCL.
+ Responsible for leading the analysis, design, and development of entry-level to advanced behavioral and technical training.
+ Manages the preparation of course materials, including pre- and post-course work.
+ Researches and applies best practices and industry trends.
+ Acts as project lead for assigned initiatives and programs and applies the principles of project and time management to track tasks/deadlines for self and a small team.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
+ 7 years of progressive experience with training delivery and/or facilitation in a corporate environment preferred.

+ Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines. Has project management experience.

Your RoleAs Instructional Designer, you will design and develop instructor-led and on-line learning.  Reporting to the Training Lead, you will be responsible for developing learning plans and curriculum that will help learners acquire knowledge, skills and competencies in their daily job roles.Day to Day
  • Design and develop e-learning content and training programs based on industry best practices
  • Promote collaboration with internal and external subject matter experts to identify learning requirements and confirm existing business procedures
  • Implement effective delivery and learning methods and assessments for diverse learners
  • Review and analyze course evaluation data to measure the effectiveness of training programs against Key Performance Indicators
  • Assist with the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS)
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education, Certificate in Adult Education (e.g., CAE, CACE, PADE), or equivalent credential combined with experience in teaching
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in designing and developing curriculum for online/blended environments
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
  • Working knowledge of current and emerging instructional design methodology
  • Intermediate knowledge of eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise & Articulate Storyline
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships through strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient leadership skills
  • Agricultural industry knowledge considered an asset
  • Graphic designer / marketing experience considered an asset
