In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to a variety of transportation planning studies using software tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS/QGIS, and other software tools.
  • Write technical reports and memorandums for a variety of studies, including but not limited to transportation impact studies, area transportation studies, parking studies, and environmental assessments.
  • Prepare supporting graphical materials, including presentation visuals and GIS mapping.
  • Develop evaluation criteria to assess the transportation, social, environmental, and economic aspects of transportation infrastructure.
  • Analyze and interpret transportation and parking data as part of studies for municipal and private sector clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and support business development initiatives.
  • Supervise and review the work of junior/co-op staff.
  • Participate in site visits and public and stakeholder meetings.
  • Attend external and internal project meetings as required.
  • Undertake research and participate in other planning initiatives to develop the companys industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends, software, and technology.

The qualifications you need:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in transportation planning and/or transportation engineering. Previous experience in transportation consulting or development review is considered an asset.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, a recognized professional planning designation in Canada is considered an asset (eg. RPP, MCIP).
  • Strong understanding of transportation planning principles, policy frameworks, and multi-modal transportation systems.
  • Proficient with software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and ArcGIS/QGIS.
  • Demonstrated experience writing clear, concise, and technically sound reports, memos, and proposals.
  • Experience preparing high-quality visual materials, including GIS mapping, graphics, and presentation visuals.

Our client in Charlottetown - a dynamic and growth-oriented company, is seeking a results-driven S&OP Planner to join its team in a cross-functional role supporting efficient and effective supply chain management. This position plays a key role in executing and optimizing the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, with a strong focus on data analytics and collaboration across business units. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between commercial and operations teams, ensuring alignment and progress in demand and supply planning efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly S&OP processes to determine optimal production rates and inventory levels.

  • Monitor and address gaps between demand forecasts and supply capabilities.

  • Proactively plan for variables such as product launches, promotions, seasonal shifts, and market fluctuations.

  • Create and maintain both routine and ad-hoc reports to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Contribute to the development of annual budgets and support cost-saving initiatives.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data inputs within the demand planning process.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the S&OP process for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Facilitate collaboration among internal stakeholders to maintain momentum in the S&OP cycle.


Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in forecasting or demand planning within a manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong experience with MRP and inventory management systems.

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable way.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively across departments.

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
