PURPOSE:
This position supports the vision and mission of World Renew and the Marketing Communications (MarComm) Team by managing marketing communications projects from ideation to distribution. Researches, writes and edits compelling content that furthers the engagement of new and existing World Renew audiences.
Please note: This position will be based in the Burlington-Canada office. However, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, it will be temporarily remote at least through the end of the year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collects stories from ministry teams each quarter. Edits content and makes recommendations to MarComm Team on which stories to use for key marketing campaigns.
- Liaises with World Renew’s International Disaster Response (IDR) and domestic Disaster Response Services Teams. May serve as MarComm Team lead for emergency disaster communication coordination and writing. Leads branding and content for program fundraising, recruitment, and volunteer communications
- Manages projects and writes annual Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) campaign and all other marketing communications for World Renew’s CFGB projects during the year.
- Writes the semi-annual DRS volunteer newsletter.
- Writes and edits a variety of content for communications and marketing purposes such as web stories, email strategies, social media campaigns, direct mail, brochures, newsletters, and presentations.
- Coordinates photo and story asset gathering in the field for various projects.
- Assists with the implementation of strategies and tactics for acquisition and donor cultivation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Execution:
Develop creative, high-quality content across video, photo, and written formats to support campaigns, programming, and brand storytelling.

Write engaging copy for social posts, email campaigns, and digital assets with a consistent tone of voice.

Creative Asset Management:

College or University Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media Relations, or a related creative field.

This position supports the vision and mission of World Renew and the Marketing Communications (MarComm) Team by managing marketing communications projects from ideation to distribution. Researches, writes and edits compelling content that furthers the engagement of new and existing World Renew audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collects stories from ministry teams each quarter. Edits content and makes recommendations to MarComm Team on which stories to use for key marketing campaigns.
- Liaises with World Renew’s International Disaster Response (IDR) and domestic Disaster Response Services Teams. May serve as MarComm Team lead for emergency disaster communication coordination and writing. Leads branding and content for program fundraising, recruitment, and volunteer communications
- Manages projects and writes annual Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) campaign and all other marketing communications for World Renew’s CFGB projects during the year.
- Writes the semi-annual DRS volunteer newsletter.
- Writes and edits a variety of content for communications and marketing purposes such as web stories, email strategies, social media campaigns, direct mail, brochures, newsletters, and presentations.
- Coordinates photo and story asset gathering in the field for various projects.
- Assists with the implementation of strategies and tactics for acquisition and donor cultivation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 - 5 years of experience in content marketing and strategy
- Deep interest and knowledge of the credit card and personal finance space, as well as banking, and investing
- WordPress knowledge and previous experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting engaging and informative content that is not generic, but that truly helps customers
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools to optimize content for search engines. Understanding / experience of GEO best practices an asset.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
