At EY, we're all in to shape your future with confidence.
We'll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.
Join EY and help to build a better working world.
The opportunity
EY Canada's Cybersecurity practice is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Manager to lead our Digital Identity (DI) offerings across the Energy sector, including Power & Utilities and Oil & Gas. This individual will play a critical dual role: serving as the national Digital Identity sector lead for Energy, while also contributing to broader client delivery and go-to-market activities across other sectors.
As a trusted advisor to our energy clients, you will work directly with cybersecurity leaders and managers to help them solve complex identity challenges across both IT and OT environments, spanning topics such as Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Access Management (AM), and Zero Trust enablement.
This is a market-facing role where you will shape and maintain key client relationships, co-create solutions with clients, lead complex DI programs, and help evolve EY's service offerings to remain aligned with the fast-evolving market needs.
Your key responsibilities:
Client & Market Leadership
- Serve as the go-to Digital Identity leader for EY's Energy sector leadership team, supporting key accounts and sector growth initiatives.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key DI stakeholders across Energy clients, including IT, OT, and cybersecurity leaders.
- Lead pre-sales conversations, shape solutions, and support the full pursuit lifecycle including proposal and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
- Provide thought leadership by developing and delivering insights on the future of identity in Energy, including IT/OT convergence, zero trust, and critical infrastructure protection.
Delivery Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of identity and access management engagements, including IAM, IGA, PAM, AM, and DI strategy and transformation projects.
- Oversee teams delivering technical implementations using platforms such as Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Saviynt, and CyberArk, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
- Serve as engagement leader and quality reviewer on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and business value realization.
Practice & Portfolio Development
- Help evolve and maintain a portfolio of digital identity offerings, ensuring alignment with industry needs, emerging technologies, and Energy sector trends.
- Collaborate with alliance partners (e.g., Microsoft, Saviynt, CyberArk) to develop joint go-to-market solutions and account strategies.
- Support internal competency development, mentoring junior team members and enabling national delivery excellence.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Extensive Cybersecurity Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on digital identity, including design and implementation of IAM/IGA/PAM solutions. Along with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex cybersecurity projects.
- Hands-on experience: Direct hands-on technical experience with leading platforms including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Saviynt, and CyberArk.
- Industry Expertise: Specific experience in the Energy sector (Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas), showcasing a deep understanding of the unique IT and OT challenges and regulatory requirements that energy and natural resource clients face in Canada.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively. Proven experience in overseeing and mentoring consultants, fostering a collaborative team environment, and driving successful project delivery.
- Client Relationship Management: A track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships within the Energy sector. Proven ability to understand client needs, provide strategic guidance, and deliver solutions that align with client objectives.
- Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic thinking capabilities, enabling the analysis of cybersecurity landscapes, anticipation of emerging threats, and provision of proactive solutions aligned with the long-term goals of both clients and the consulting practice.
- Innovative Problem Solver: Ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex cybersecurity challenges, utilizing the latest technologies and best practices.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This includes the capability to author compelling thought leadership pieces.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or other industry-recognized certifications would be highly desirable.
What We Look For
We're interested in intellectually curious people with a genuine passion for cybersecurity. If you have the confidence in your technical abilities to grow into a leading expert here, this is the role for you.
