- Document user interface specifications, including layout, navigation, interaction patterns, and visual design elements, adhering to our design system.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on user impact and business value.
- Design & Best Practices:

- Contribute to the evolution and consistency of Ouster's design system and component library.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Act as a strong advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Present research findings, design concepts, and requirements to cross-functional teams (engineering, product, sales, FAEs) and gather constructive feedback.
- Facilitate workshops and design sprints to foster collaborative problem-solving.
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Engineer, UX Researcher, or Product Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, workflow analysis, and requirements generation for complex software applications.
- Proven experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative user research methods (user interviews, usability testing, surveys, A/B testing).

- Strong understanding of interaction design principles, usability heuristics, and information architecture.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and research findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of front-end development technologies (React / Angular. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better communicate with engineers.
